Two lurkers instead of one[edit]

The page says "Each time you use the shout on a Stone, a lurker will appea,", but when i cleansed the Earth stone (without having the quest for it) after the fist Lurker died, another came. Should this be added / confirmed?

I've done this quest twice now and you only get one Lurker on the first 2 or 3 stones. The last 2 I believe will spawn a pair of lurkers, the fact they spawned sequentially instead of at the same time is a little interesting though. Lord Eydvar Talk|Contribs 19:36, 22 February 2013 (GMT)
I got two lurkers at the Earth Stone, which was the last one I cleansed, and two at the Sun Stone, which was the second I cleansed in this quest (third overall). So two definitely appear at certain times. Not sure whether it's stone-dependent or order-dependent though. I'll update the page to "one or two lurkers {{vn}}" --Enodoc (talk) 22:46, 22 February 2013 (GMT)
Sun Stone ALWAYS has 2 Lurkers and those Lurkers actually will respawn every 3 days or so. Lord Eydvar Talk|Contribs 00:00, 23 February 2013 (GMT)
Is that a bug? Doesn't sound like something that's supposed to happen. Do you think then that it's always two for Sun and Earth, and always one for Wind, Water and Beast? --Enodoc (talk) 00:11, 23 February 2013 (GMT)
Umm not sure its a bug, but maybe they only respawn at the Sun Stone, and yeah always 2 for Sun and Earth and 1 for the rest. Lord Eydvar Talk|Contribs 00:13, 23 February 2013 (GMT)
OK then, I'll ditch that vn and add a note. Thanks. --Enodoc (talk) 00:16, 23 February 2013 (GMT)
Yeah I think the reason for 2 at those particular stones is the large amount of combat worthy NPCs that are working on those two shrines. Earth has a half dozen Redoran Guards and Sun has a good dozen Reavers. So to make it of a similar difficulty they added an additional Lurker. Lord Eydvar Talk|Contribs 00:18, 23 February 2013 (GMT)
My experience, lvl 79, Xbox: (in this order) Beast- 1 lurker, Water- 1 lurker & 1 dragon (lowest type), Earth- 1 lurker, Sun- 1 lurker. I don't see a pattern, I think it's just random.Treebeard151 (talk) 05:09, 28 March 2013 (GMT)
I actually cleansed the Sun Stone before even going to Skaal Village, since I had gotten the Bend Will shout on a side trip while recovering Glover Mallory's advanced bonemold formula. I don't know if it was the game giving me a slap on the wrist for being forward, but I got three Lurkers: one rose from the pool around the Stone, and two apparently came charging up from the beach -- at any rate, they were definitely not from the immediate surroundings of the Stone. I have a couple of screen shots, if anyone is interested. My character was level 31. Robinwitch1 (talk) 00:36, 28 November 2013 (GMT)

Reaver alliance?[edit]

Under the section "Sun Stone" it says: "The fight will be much easier with the help of your Reaver alliance." What Reaver alliance is this a reference to? —MortenOSlash (talk) 19:31, 21 May 2013 (GMT)

The workers at the Sun Stone are a bunch of reavers. Once you cleanse the stone, they do not become hostile to you; in fact they become hostile to the lurker(s) that show up following the cleansing. It's listed on the Sun Stone page. Quillan (talk) 19:33, 21 May 2013 (GMT)
That is no more than what the Redoran Guards at the Earth Stone do, not actually what I would call an alliance as such, and it is definitively not called an alliance in the Sun Stone article. With the current wording one could easily believe it is some changed attitude from Reavers after a quest or something, much like the change among Forsworn met in encounters after completing No One Escapes Cidhna Mine, or some similar effect. —MortenOSlash (talk) 19:52, 21 May 2013 (GMT)
Thanks Dreamshadow! Much better now! —MortenOSlash (talk) 19:33, 22 May 2013 (GMT)

Cause of bug[edit]

Not taking the power from the wind stone after you cleanse it is what causes the bug where the stones can't be interacted with. It has nothing to do with the sun stone or the shout . Simply acquire the power and return to the stones. If you tried to cleanse them earlier a lurker will be waiting but the shrine framing won't explode. 68.33.72.213 23:56, 14 March 2014 (GMT)
