Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Map of objectives: The Clannfear Feast is closest to the player marker, the Dremora Worship Ritual is to the east of it, and the Ritual of Knowledge is to the far south

Daedra hunter Savile Alam has arrived in Vivec City seeking aid. The Worm Cult has taken up residence in the Daedric ruins of Ashalmawia, an ancient site dedicated to Molag Bal. There, the cultists have been summoning swaths of Daedra, intent on spreading their master's corruption throughout Vvardenfell. Their rituals must be stopped.

If you wish to speak with Savile Alam for more information about you job she can be found in Saint Delyn Plaza.

Ashalmawia is located in the northwest portion of Vvardenfell, near the coast. The first ritual you will likely have the chance to stop is the Dark Ritual, just outside the entrance to the delve. A Worm Cult Battlemage and Worm Cult Dreadmage are praying on top of a glowing summoning circle, with a Worm Cult Reverent between them stabbing the corpse of a scamp repeatedly. Their deaths will summon two clannfear, and when those are dispatched, a blue watcher will emerge. With Molag Bal's minions destroyed, head into the shrine to find the other rituals.

The next portion of this quest will take you on a loop all the way through Ashalmawia. There is no right or wrong way to approach the rituals. You can go left or right. Heading right will lead you to a door to the shrine's Sunken Vaults, where two of the rituals are waiting to be ruined. The closest is the Clannfear Feast. There, a Worm Cult Necromancer and two clannfear are waiting to be killed. Their deaths will invigorate the summoning circle, bringing two blue scamps to Nirn. Upon their defeat, a hunger will spawn, and killing it stops the ritual.

Follow the path down until you reach the Dremora Worship Ritual. A Worm Cult Reverent and Dreadmage can be found hailing a Dremora Kynlurker, whose deaths will summon a Dremora Shadowkyn and Dremora Hunterkyn. The last summon for this ritual is a harvester.

The Ritual of Knowledge is in the halls leading back to the entrance of the delve. You will find a Worm Cult Dreadmage, Necromancer and Battlemage, whose deaths will summon a Dremora Shadowkyn and Kynlurker, and finally a Spider Daedra. With the rituals disrupted, find Savile Alam and retrieve your reward.

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
