Online:Dwarven Furnishings
Dwarves, the Dwemer, are an extinct race of elves known for their technologically advanced society. Dwarven society began in Morrowind and spread to Skyrim, Hammerfell, and beyond. They disappeared suddenly in 1E 700, leaving behind Dwemer ruins inhabited by their still-functioning automatons. Sotha Sil also took inspiration from the Dwemer when making his Clockwork City.
This Dwarven style "Deep Venue", built within natural caverns, is prevalent in the northern areas of Tamriel, such as in Skyrim and the Reach, unlike the Arcanex style, which is commononly found in Vvardenfell and Morrowind Dwemer ruins.
Nchuand-Zel (meaning Radiant City in Dwemeris) is the original name for the Dwarven city of Markarth. In the present day, it has come to refer to Understone Keep and the excavation site of the even deeper ruins found beneath the city. The underground ruins were built in the Hoagen Kultorra style, like many of the other strongholds of the Northern clans, featuring an Arcanex and a Deep Venue both within.

Though Dwemer constructs are made mostly of so-called Dwarven Metal, some rare animunculi have parts forged from a super-hard whitish alloy known to blacksmiths as Dwarven Adamant. It's one of the rarest materials on Nirn.

The shining metal known as Dwarven Adamant is an alloy melding ores of unknown origin into the most durable material ever made. Though found in parts of the ultra-rare Adamant Dwarven Wolf, the secret of its forging seems as lost as the Dwemer themselves.
