Looting the Light[edit]

When you enter the room with her tied up in a web:

Erilthel: "Is someone out there? Let me out of this thing!"

Once freed:

Erilthel: "Finally free! Oh, sorry, no time to chat. I have to get back to Seeks. He must be worried sick!"

When spoken to before speaking to Seeks:

"Thanks so much for the rescue!
I'm Erilthel, the muscle of this operation. Oh, I suppose Seeks already told you that though, didn't he? I'm sure he bragged all about me and how great of an apprentice I am, the big softs."
Ah … sure. How are you?
"I'm great! It will take more than the venom of some giant spider lady to kill me.
Oh, what a great first chapter. "Stealing into the caverns of Eton Nir, Lady Twilight would meet her first deadly foe … and her first ally!" That's you, by the way."
First chapter? Lady Twilight?
"That's me! Or, well, it will be. Once I become the greatest thief Tamriel has ever known!
You and Seeks should count yourself lucky. Not many will know of the humble origins of Lady Twilight. Something to brag about over a flagon someday."

After you complete the quest, Erilthel and Seeks will have a talk:

Erilthel: "Can we get moving now? I'm just itching to get to our next assignment!"
Seeks-the-Dark: "The itching's probably just a symptom of the venom. Next your flesh will start to rot off. Seen it happen a million times."
Erilthel: "Seeks, you're hilarious! I just can't get enough of your jokes. My skin's going to rot off, ha! Oh, what will you come up with next?"

The Black Gauntlet[edit]

Erithel can also be met within Blackrose Prison in Murkmire:

"You know, you don't really strike me as a member of the Blackguards. More like a hero type, in my opinion. A hero who would be only too keen on helping a poor lass in need."

Or if you've met her before in Summerset:

"Why, if it isn't my gallant friend! What brings you to Murkmire?
Wait …. Don't tell me you decided to join the Blackguards! Don't you know they're about as rotten as they come?"

Then the conversation flows normally:

I'm not a member of the Blackguards.
"Truly? Then perhaps you'd be willing to help!
My boss Seeks-the-Dark has been captured by these ruffians. And as tempting as a daring rescue sounds, there's no way I could possibly infiltrate Blackrose Prison alone."
What did you have in mind then?
"I've struck a deal with Drakeeh, the leader of the Blackguards. If I can defeat their gauntlet challenge, he'll release Seeks. Unfortunately, I'm more of a sneak than a fighter.
But you! I bet you've got combat skills aplenty. Mind helping me out?"
I'll help you defeat the Blackguards' gauntlet and save your boss.
"I'm so glad you've agreed to help me!
Now, the Blackrose Prison gauntlet is no laughing matter. You'll be forced to fight against all sorts of enemies, one after another. So make sure you're well prepared!"
What can you tell me about this place?
"Blackrose used to be an Imperial prison. It was abandoned nearly a century ago.
That's when the original Blackguards took it over. They were all former inmates, and used the prison as a base for their less-than-legal operations."
What about the gauntlet?
"The gauntlet serves as both entertainment for the Blackguards and punishment for all who cross them. Each arena is held by a reigning champion.
Your first opponent is Battlemage Ennodius, an Imperial known for her unmatched skill with fire magic."
Don't the Blackguards hate Imperials?
"Perhaps the original Blackguards did, but these days you'll find all manner of races within their ranks. It seems Drakeeh is more concerned with amassing power than holding onto a century long grudge."
How did Seeks-the-Dark end up captured?
"I knew something was off, soon as the Thieves Guild gave us a job in Murkmire. Seeks just looked... nervous. Almost scared.
We were only here a few days before the Blackguards nabbed him. Got him while we were sleeping in the marsh, the cowards."
How did you escape?
"Easily. The Blackguards weren't interested in me at all, didn't even give chase. So I stuck to the shadows and followed them here.
One of the patrols noticed me scouting the prison. That's when Drakeeh contacted me."
And he made a deal with you.
"Right. So long as I made my way through their gauntlet, Seeks would be free to go.
I halfway suspect it was all a joke. I can easily pick you a lock or steal some treasure, but defeating a gauntlet of deadly warriors? Not my forte."

After stage 1:

"What a resounding victory! Keep this up, and we'll have Seeks free in no time.
Now, the next arena is called the Hall of Beasts. Keep on your toes, all right? I heard that Tames-the-Beast has all sorts of nasty tricks up his sleeve."
What can you tell me about the Hall of Beasts?
"Right, I did happen to sneak a peek when you were fighting your first round.
There's two bull netches in there, and they did not look friendly. I'd stay clear of them if I were you and just focus on the arena's champion."
Tell me about the champion.
"From what I hear, Tames-the-Beast uses magic that's rooted in nature. Literally! He can create roots from the ground to bind you, and has a menagerie of beasts at his beck and call.
An exciting opponent if I ever heard one!"
Sounds dangerous. Think you can help somehow?/Do you think you could help with the fight?
"Afraid not. I'm more of a lady of mystery than a warrior.
But while you're fighting, I'll try to find out why the Blackguards targeted Seeks-the-Dark. After all, information is key to keeping the upper hand! Or so Seeks always tells me."

After stage 2:

"Don't you just continue to amaze? From what I hear, no one's defeated the Hall of Beasts nearly as fast as you did!
Next is the Vampire's Pen. Ugh. Talk about putting your neck on the line!"
The Vampire's Pen?
"How the Blackguards ended up becoming bed mates with a vampire coven, I'll never know. Though I suppose like begets like.
The champion calls herself Lady Minara, though I'm not quite sure what she's the lady of."
What can I expect from her?
" She's a necromancer, that I know. Rumor has it she curses her opponents, summons skeletons, all sorts of nasty things.
Keep on your toes and you should do just fine. I think."
Learn anything new about Seeks-the-Dark?
"Nothing good, I'm afraid. It seems everyone here views him as some sort of traitor.
Maybe he botched a job for them? The Thieves Guild isn't particularly picky about who hires us, after all. That may be why the Blackguards are seeking revenge."
So you think he failed to steal something for them?
"I'm just not sure. I don't know much about Seeks-the-Dark's past, you see. Doesn't talk much about himself to anyone, even his beloved apprentice.
I'll try to gather more information. You just worry about the gauntlet."

After stage 3:

"I overheard what the next arena is, and I don't like it one bit. They're going to have you fight all the champions from the first three arenas. At the same time!
I knew the Blackguards were rotten, but this is just going too far."
Anything else I should keep in mind for the next match?
"Just remember everything you learned during the last few matches. And then do all that, but all at once! Or something like that, right?
Sorry, I'm just a bit flustered. I can't believe they would play us so rotten!
That's fair. Did you learn anything about Seeks-the-Dark?
"Right, well, I've gotten the impression that Seeks-the-Dark may have … actually been a member of the Blackguards?
I mean, I'm not sure though! And even if he was, he obviously left years ago."
That's what my gut says, anyway. It would explain why the Blackguards would go to such extremes in targeting him.
For now, let's focus on the gauntlet. Only two more arenas to go!

After stage 4:

"All right, it's time for your grand finale. The last chapter in your epic tale. It's time to fight Drakeeh the Unchained, and win back Seeks-the-Dark's freedom once and for all!"
Tell me about Drakeeh.
"From what I hear, Drakeeh's a pretty devoted follower of Sithis. He even claims that his power of necromancy stems from that worship.
Through the Dread-Father, he controls death and darkness and void! That sort of thing"
So Sithis lets Drakeeh control the dead?
"So Drakeeh claims. Point is, you're going to have to go through a bunch of undead first if you want to defeat Drakeeh.
This whole thing about Sithis though, that sounds like pure lunacy to me."
How so?
"Seeks-the-Dark taught me quite a bit about Sithis, how he's more of a … force of nature. Not really a god that hands down necromancy powers.
I think Drakeeh is just puffing himself up. Oh, look at me, I've got Sithis on my side! Ugh."
Right. Learn anything else new?
"I haven't learned anything new, but I have been wondering something.
If the Blackguards wanted revenge, why didn't they make Seeks-the-Dark go through this gauntlet? Why give me the chance to rescue him?
Maybe they want to punish him by putting you in danger.
"Punish him? I … oh no, I think you're right.
There's no way I could have survived the gauntlet. They must have been trying to hurt Seeks by hurting me. Oh, those absolute bastards!"

After stage 5: After defeating Drakeeh the Unchained, Erilthel will run towards the injured Seeks-the-Dark.

Erilthel: "Seeks! Are you all right?"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Ah, Erilthel. So nice of you to finally show yourself."
Erilthel: "Of course! Lady Twilight is always here to save the day!"

Speak with Erilthel and turn in the quest.

"You did it! Of course, I expected no less from the ally personally chosen by Lady Twilight."
Lady Twilight?
"That's me! Or, well, it's what I will be known as once I become a great thief.
And of course, a token of my gratitude to go along with my boundless thanks! You've certainly earned it. And don't worry where I got it from. Or who, to be precise."

Speaking with Erilthel after this exchange, you'll find her bubbly as ever:

"Hopefully next time we meet, it will be under happier circumstances.
For now, feel free to talk to Seeks-the-Dark. I'm sure he's just overflowing with gratitude for all that you've done for him!"

Post-Quest: If you pass by Blackrose Prison after rescuing Seeks-the-Dark, you can find him speaking with Erilthel.

Erilthel: "Now that we've put Blackrose behind us, it's time to finally complete our mission!"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Or we could lay low. Get some rest, recuperate from our near death experience ...."
Erilthel: "Rest? Recuperate? You're mentoring Lady Twilight herself, soon to be the greatest thief of our generation! There's no time for such things!"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Not even a day with you, and I'm already looking back at my days of capture with longing."

A Keep's Ransom[edit]

Erithel's appearance in Blackwood

After speaking with Commander Axius about the hostage situation, he will ask you to enter through the sewers to rescue the hostages from the Painted Eye. Upon entering the sewers a voice can be heard in the distance:

Erilthel: "You'll never take me alive, you bastards!"

Once you reach the side room, Erilthel will be stamping at ground until she notices you:

Erilthel: "Hang on. Who goes there?"

You can then speak with Erilthel to find out what she's doing here:

Met Erithel before:
First time meeting:
"Wait—I remember you! Of all the places in Tamriel for Lady Twilight to bump into her erstwhile deputy, it's in an arse-aired sewer beneath some crumbling garrison!"
Erithel? You're one of the infiltrators Commander Axius mentioned? Where's your partner?
"That's right! Seeks and I were on our way to rescue those hostages when we—uh, got separated. I was supposed to get to safety since things got a little hairy with the job, but now that I have my trusty deputy there's nothing to worry about!"
Did the Thieves Guild send you to do this?
"Seeks would kill me if I told you about our job without him. But we really will rescue the hostages! I mean, we're already here and the commander is paying. Now we're not even trespassing!
We'll save those people in no time … once we find them."
Are you lost?
"What? No, I know exactly where I am. I'm just temporarily unsure of where I'm going. Seeks and I got separated when—well, he made a distraction so the Painted Eye wouldn't spot me, but I don't know where he ran off to. Can you help me find him?"
I'll help you find Seeks.
"You better stay back—whoever you are—or you'll have the distinct honor of Lady Twilight wearing your guts for garters! And—and your skin for stockings! And your bones, for … bonnets? I haven't worked that out yet, but I'll have them!"
Commander Axius sent me. Are you one of the infiltrators he sent to rescue the hostages?
"He did? Well, that was considerate—hey! Are you saying he doesn't trust us to finish the job? Sure, things haven't gone according to plan, but they never do. Seeks and I always come through in the end!"
Seeks? Who's that?
"Seeks-the-Dark? He's my mentor. Shows me everything there is to know on the job. He's a bit on the … grumpy side, but he'll be happy when history remembers him as the wise teacher of Lady Twilight, the Thieves Guild's greatest legend!"
You're part of the Thieves Guild?
"Oh—darn it—I wasn't supposed to say that. Forget I mentioned it. It's not important! What's important are hostages! And … how to get to them."
Are you lost?
"Seeks and I can slip by patrols! It's just these tight quarters don't leave a lot of options. It was going fine until we ducked into a niche filled with spiders.Just, thousands of them scuttling around in that hole … I may have reacted a bit."
(?)

After agreeing to find Seeks, you can question her further:

"I think Seeks took off that way after the commotion started. I think. You should probably take the lead."
How did you and Seeks-the-Dark get involved with this?(If you already met her and Seeks-the-Dark before)
"Well, we were … in the area and heard about Borderwatch's troubles. Seeks and I are no strangers to getting into fortresses, so we volunteered to save the hostages.
The sewers were supposed to be lightly patrolled. Not exactly true."
So, you got caught by the Painted Eye?
There were patrols, but Seeks and I had no trouble avoiding them. Until we ducked into a niche that was filled to bursting with spiders.
Don't suppose you remember Eton Nir? Well, spiders don't sit right with me since that job. I—well, I went off.
(If you rescued her in Eton Nir)
What happened?
"I started stomping around like I was making wine until Seeks smacked me on the head and sent me back the way we came. He went tearing off in the other direction, screaming like a banshee to draw the patrol away. It's quiet now, though."
Tell me about yourself?
"I'm working my way up the ranks of the Thieves Guild. Well, to the first rank, really. Seeks was put in charge of my training by the Guildmaster until I'm ready to set out on my own.
And once I am, the legend of Lady Twilight will begin in earnest!"
Lady Twilight?
"That's the name I'll be known by once I make it big! I just need one huge heist, something that will grab the imaginations from here to Auridon. Then I'll be on the lips of every bard! Lady Twilight, the greatest thief in all of Tamriel!"

As you progress through the sewers:

Erilthel: "Think twice about hopping across stones in the murks. Sometimes they're crocodiles."
Erilthel: "I'm fairly sure Seeks ran off this way. Fairly."

Fight your way through the sewer and roaming Painted Eyes until you reach a door to the Borderwatch Cellars:

Erilthel: "Hold on, I don't think I've been this way yet. Let's check it out!"

Inside you will find Seeks-the-Dark locked up in a cage. He will be displeased that Erithel is here. You can listen to their exchange while Erithel begins to pick the lock:

Erilthel: "Seeks! Hold on, I'll get the lock!"
<Erithel runs up to the cage and crouches down to begin picking the lock.>
Seeks-the-Dark: "Erilthel! I told you to run!"
Erilthel: "I did, but then I ran into our friend here and-hey, did you let yourself get caught so I could get away?"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Pfft, unlike you I know when to make an escape. You. Come here. We need to talk."

Speaking to her before you talk to Seeks-the-Dark:

"Shh, you talk to Seeks while I work on this lock and maybe he'll forget to yell at me."

Once you have spoken with Seeks, Erithel will have unlocked the door. The Argonian will waste no time admonishing his student:

Erilthel: "There we go! One picked lock, courtesy of Lady Twilight."
Seeks-the-Dark: "Next time, keep your eyes off the lock. Work by feel and watch your surroundings."
Erilthel: "Oh, good point! So, I get that I'm supposed to lead the hostages to safety, but what happens after they're all free?"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Then it's your turn to get clear of this place, like I told you before. And you'll listen, this time. It's too dangerous with your amount of training."
Erilthel: "But what about—"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Not another word."

Talking to her before you go to find the hostages:

"Well, I guess I need to get used to skulking around these tunnels. Wading around in sewage isn't the daring heist I'd hoped for when we came to Borderwatch, but … oh, well."

After you enter the big courtyard of Borderwatch, you can rescue the hostages from various locations in the area. They will all have some information on the Painted Eye and their true plan. When you lead the last group of hostages to the sewer entrance, Seeks will be waiting for you. Speaking with him, he will admit that they were orginally hired to procure a certain object hidden beneath Borderwatch. Against his hopes, Erithel will have come back. And he lets her know this:

Seeks-the-Dark: "Erithel … if I turn around and you are standing behind me, then so help me …."
Erilthel: "Seeks, how am I ever going to become a legend if I run at the first sign of trouble?"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Running is half the job! Not that you would know."
Erilthel: "Well, never running is what'll set Lady Twilight apart from the rest!"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Enough with Lady …! Look, I'm going to need a moment to smack some sense into my pupil. Head into the keep and see if you can find the scholar. I'll be right after."
Seeks-the-Dark: "We're going to review the lesson on following instructions."

Talking to her before you try to rescue the scholar:

"Ah, don't mind Seeks, it's just his way of showing affection!
He may not want to admit it, but he likes having me around. You'll see."

You can then enter the keep and search for the scholar, you can find Teldundindo of Sunhold in the library. Erithel and Seeks will arrive behind you. If you talk to her before Teldundindo:

"See, I knew Seeks would let me stick around if I wore him down enough!"

After Teldundindo tells you where to find the key, the game plan will be stated again:

Seeks-the-Dark: "Right. Friend, you get the key. I'll keep tabs on the Painted Eye. Erilthel will lead the scholar to safety. And after that, she won't come back. Right?"
Erilthel: "Understood. Lesson learned!"
Erilthel: "All right, mister scholar. The way to freedom is just a quick romp through the castle sewers."
Teldundindo of Sunhold: "Sewer? I'm a distinguished fellow of the College of Sapiarchs! Do you expect me to muck about in filth?"
Erilthel: "Oh, it'll be fine. You won't even smell it after a few minutes, unless you're planning to keep those robes, because, whew, that is not going to wash out."

Speaking to her before you set out to get the key:

"Right. I suppose this is the last time we'll see one another until we get to the other side of all this. Keep an eye on Seeks, won't you? And try not to have too much of a daring escapade without me."

After you retrieve the crypt key, an annoyed Seeks will be waiting for you outside the crypt. The Painted Eye used magic to pass through the door and any lead you had is gone. Fight you way through the crypt until you reach relic chamber where Sister Ignatia and Brother gro-Mora guard the relic and their leader. After you have defeated them and broken the crystals powering their ritual you can confront their leader—Phedre Lampronius:

To Seeks dismay, this hasn't stopped the leader in the slightest as she uses the relic:

Seeks-the-Dark: "Oh, come on! We smashed all the things!"
<Covering his face, Seeks approaches the relic.>
Phedre Lampronius: "Fools! Nothing can disrupt this ritual while I possess the power of—"
<There is a rumble and then screaming can be heard.>
Erilthel: "Whoa, whoa, wh—ah!"
<Erilthel falls through ceiling and crashes in the relic, disrupting the ritual. The backlash vaporises Phedre.>
Phedre Lampronius: "… this relic …. Argh!"
Erilthel: "Whew! Whatever that was really cushioned my fall. What'd I miss?"
Seeks-the-Dark: "You know what? I'll take it. Now, let's get out of here! This whole place is coming down!"
<Seeks begins to run and Erilthel grabs something off the ground before following him.>

You can then follow the pair out of the crypts and emerge on a hill nearby to Borderwatch. With having escaped the collapsing ruin, her mentor will have a heartfelt chat with Erilthel:

Seeks-the-Dark: "Erilthel."
Erilthel: "I know. I said I wouldn't come back, but I heard yelling echoing up from a grate—and I was worried—so I followed—and it was slippery and—"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Thank you. If it weren't for you, we couldn't have stopped the Painted Eye."
Erilthel: "You mean it? It was a pretty dramatic entrance wasn't it? Maybe I should practice—"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Don't push it."

Speaking to her before the end of the quest:

"Can you believe it? We saved Borderwatch! People here will be telling tales of our skullduggery and derring-do for … for at least a week! This might really be the birth of Lady Twilight's legend!"
And how you dropped out of the rafters?
"That's the big climax! I mean, I'd discourage any unflattering references to falling on my arse, but you can't pay for a debut like that!"
How'd you wind up falling into the ruins anyway?
"Well, I was helping the great Teldundindo, tip toe through the sewer when we come across this huge rat. That ninny started shrieking in a pitch so high the rat must have thought it was a mating call, because it went tearing off after him!"
That led you to the ruin?
"Sort of. So the rat had him cornered, but I killed it! Took some doing—like I said, big rat. After the commotion was over I heard yelling coming up from a grate nearby. That spooked Teldundindo. Again. He ran off, so I decided to follow the voices."
And that finally led you to the ruin?
"Well, that led to an aqueduct , which led to an eyeless slaughterfish nesting pool, which led to me running, slipping, and falling down to you!
I don't know what you and Seeks were doing down there, but I'm sure it was important too."
I would hope so.

After completing the quest, there will be an exchange will happen between mentor and pupil where they learn that things worked out in their favor:

Seeks-the-Dark: "Now, I need to figure out how to tell the Guild that we didn't get the relic. They won't be happy."
Erilthel: "What do you mean? I have the relic right here. Oh! Careful, still got bits of Painted Eye lady on it."
Seeks-the-Dark: "What? When did you—"
Erilthel: "When you were all: oh, look at the ceiling, it's coming down around us. This is why I should take the lead next time!"
Seeks-the-Dark: "Absolutely not."

Speaking to her again after this exchange:

"Now that this Borderwatch gig is settled, Seeks and I need to get back to the Guild before someone else snags a bigger job. The legend of Lady Twilight won't be born from resting on my laurels."
You're already thinking about your next job?
"Of course! I'm not going to become the greatest thief in all of Tamriel by sitting on my duff, will? I mean, you saw what it did back there. That's an arse of action. Be a waste of great potential!"

Heroes of Blackwood[edit]

If you help out at Borderwatch, Erilthel and Seeks-the-Dark will attend the celebrations in Gideon. You can talk to Erilthel to find out how things have gone since you last spoke:

"Ooo, fancy party. Look at you making friends in all the high and low places!
I bet a few of these folk have a plump pouch in their drawers."
Are you two here to steal something?
"What? No! Well, maybe just the little snacks coming by on the trays, but that's what you do at parties, right?
Seeks and I just wanted to check in on you. He says maintaining good contacts is important in the business. Plus, you know, free food."
What happened to the relic you broke?
"Seeks was afraid we'd get fleeced on the payment, but the old guy was totally fine with it being busted! He was relieved even! Said it's one less dangerous object in the world.
Turns out he's got a vault full of cursed stuff! Weird thing to collect."
What's next for you two?
"We'll be getting back to the guild with our dues. I'm sure after this job I'll be a fully fledged thief—oops, full fledged thief! Then Lady Twilight will make her debut for real!
We should do another caper soon!"
Appears only with Crown Store

System Mail[edit]

Erilthel will send you a letter if you're on the leaderboard for Veteran Blackrose Prison at the end of the week.

For Your Assistance at Blackrose Prison!

Didn't think that I'd forget, did you? Why, I was just regaling Seeks with stories of your heroism against those blasted Blackguards! In any case, I managed to pick this up on my latest adventure. I'd say you more than deserve it, after all the help you've been!

Houseguest Dialogue[edit]

ON-icon-houseguest-Erilthel.png
Erilthel's quest to become Lady Twilight, Tamriel's greatest thief, brought her to your door until her teacher, Seeks-the-Dark, finds her again. After adding Erilthel to your home, you can set her on a path, plus you and your visitors can speak with her.

Erithel was previously available as a houseguest from the Crown Store from August 5 to August 12, 2021. for 015001,500 Crowns. When placed in a home, she can be spoken with and will say the following dialogue.

Erithel as a houseguest
"Oh, don't mind me. Just having a look about. Making note of any valuables, number of doors and windows—like Seeks taught me.
Just for practice, honest!"
"I haven't heard from Seeks since I got here. He said he'd come get me when I was needed, but it feels like I've been waiting forever!
I'm beginning to feel unwanted."
"Mind if I try picking your pocket? Seeks says I shouldn't ask that, but I'm four for five and that last one said I was sweet but she was married."
"Maybe I should disguise my voice when I'm the Lady Twilight? I think it might add another layer of mystery and hide my identity. Oh, or I could even be Lord Twilight!
Hmm, that doesn't have quite the same ring."
"My partner, Seeks. He's always telling me not to bite my nails. He says long nails are useful for a thief, but I'm starting to think it just annoys him when I do that."
"Most people look down on small folk. Well, naturally, but I mean all judgie-like. To a thief though, tiny means it's easier to be overlooked and slip through the cracks. Most folk don't leave their valuables on the high shelves anyway."
"I heard Argonians are fond of juicy grubs, just like the Wood Elves. But Seeks and Walks-Softly both wrinkled their snouts at me when I offered them a handful. They were fresh, too."
"Technically, I'm still a probationary member of the Thieves Guild, but I'm sure the only reason I'm not a footpad yet is because they don't want to show any special treatment. Got to pay my dues like the rest. That's what the mentors always say."
"When it comes to locks, you really get what you pay for. Most of the time Seeks doesn't even pick the cheap ones. They just come apart if you know about the weak points."
"If you ask me, it's easier to break into rich folks' houses than poor folks. Palaces always have decorative walls and trellises to clamber up. Trying to quietly scale a mud hut? Impossible!"
"Want to do a little dicing? I need to practice palming the loaded ones between turns.
What? I'll let you win some of the time."
"Wonder why they call moving stolen goods fencing and laundering? That's too pedestrian for Lady Twilight. She should liquidate and polish … maybe."
"Oooooh, good stretch!
Creeping around is real murder on the back and knees. I thought going on all fours was easier, but Seeks hit me with a rolled up handbill until I stopped."
"Seeks once smuggled me onto a pirate ship in an orange barrel. Unfortunately, they loaded me on the bottom of the stack. Could have been worse. I didn't get scurvy and the citrus scent was pleasant enough—for the first few days."
"I don't really miss the Green. Sure, I'd love to hear the spinners weave tales about me once I make it big as Lady Twilight, but Valenwood doesn't provide many opportunities for flashy heists."
"You ever think about what you'd do if you didn't do what you do? I mean, I'm obviously going to forge my legend as the Lady Twilight, but if that wasn't so obviously my calling—what then?
Maybe I'd join the House of Reveries! I do like masks."
"Why do so many hideouts have to be in sewers? I mean, I know most people's curiosity stops at the smell, but is that worth taking your meals in the city latrine?"
"The guildmaster says I'm a diamond in the rough. Just need a little polish and I'll shine!
Seeks says I'm more like a pebble in his shoe, but that's just his way of showing affection."
"Seeks-the-Dark can be a grumpy teacher, but there's no one I'd rather learn the trade from. He's not afraid to let me fail.
I mean, he yells a lot, but I still get the experience."
"If you've got too many lockpicks, I think they make pretty good toothpicks. And hair pins. And fingernail cleaners—when I've got nails.
Maybe I should write a book."

If your current character has completed the quest Looting the Light she may also say:

"Ever have a loose hair that's brushing up against your arm or whatever, but you can't find it? That's what it was like after you freed me from Eton Nir. Except they were everywhere.
Still freaks me out whenever I walk into a spider's web."
"Why is it that Mephala is always depicted as some seductive woman? I've seen what her kids look like and it ain't that."
"Remember how Seeks joked about my itching? That it meant my skin was going to start sloughing off after that rescue from the spider ladies? Turns out, that does happen. But with the right antidote, it's just really refreshing for the complexion."

If your current character has completed the quest The Black Gauntlet she may also say:

"Remember that time we rescued Seeks from Blackrose Prison? I make sure he does every chance I get. I think he's pretending not to hear now."
"Those Blackguards were a nasty bunch. And I don't just mean they were mean. They all smelled like soggy armpits and netch farts. No wonder Seeks left."
"After watching you fight through that gauntlet in Murkmire, I thought Lady Twilight should take up the rapier.
I bought one, but Seeks took it away. Now I practice jabbing things with my lockpicks."

If your current character has completed the quest A Keep's Ransom[verification needed — see talk page] she may also say:

"Did I ever tell you I found a piece of that Ayleid whatchawhoozit lodged in the seat of my britches after we delivered it? Hope the client didn't need it."
"Wonder whatever happened to Teldundindo of Sunhold? Don't think I ever saw him after he ran off in the sewer under Borderwatch.
Maybe he's still down there, listening to the echo of his own voice."
"You know, when Seeks first told me he was going to spy on the Painted Eyes, I thought he was talking about a trip to the bordello.
I was a little disappointed. He could stand to loosen up a bit."
