Detailed Walkthrough

Halmaera's House

Talk to Halmaera at her house, who will tell you that her husband Geilund is lost. She has been looking for him with her dog, and the dog wandered off, too. She asks you to use a whistle to call the dog and try to find her husband.

"My husband, Geilund, went fishing yesterday morning. He never came home.

I went looking for him this morning with my dog, and now my dog has wandered off!"

You're not having very good luck today.

"No I'm not. The last place I saw Rexus was near our mill, just north of here.

Take this whistle. Use it when you get over there. I'll wait here in case he comes home."

I'll find your dog. And your husband, if I can.

Use Dog Whistle

Use the whistle at the doors of the mill just north of where you found Halmaera. The dog, Rexus, will appear; pet him.

<Rexus bounces backa and forth under your hand. He looks like he wants you to follow.>

I should see where he wants to go.

Follow Rexus

Rexus will lead you to Geilund, who is lying on the shore to the southwest, opposite Companions Point. Geilund will tell you his boat has sank in an unusual storm, and that he is now going to head home with the help of Rexus.

"Thank Kyne! My boat sank off the coast in a storm. It was unnatural. I saw colors I've never seen before.

I drifted for hours on a plank. I thought I was dead."

You're going to be fine, Geilund.

"Just give me a second, and I'll head back home. I'll lean on Rexus when I get tired.

Halmaera will be worried sick. Thank you!"
