Online:Magicka

Magicka is the magical energy that is used to cast Magicka Skills. It is equivalent to the magic points (MP or mana) used by other RPGs.

Increasing Magicka

The amount of magicka you have depends on your character's level. Each time you level up, your maximum magicka attribute will decrease. You can choose to restore 111 points to your maximum magicka using an attribute point.

Your magicka attribute can be increased by using equipment with a Glyph of Magicka or Glyph of Prismatic Defense enchantment. Food can be used to increase maximum magicka for some time.

Altmer, Breton, and Dunmer have a greater maximum magicka than other races.

Restoring Magicka

Your available magicka is decreased each time you cast a spell. The blue bar in the bottom left of the screen shows you the current status of your magicka (although this bar will be invisible when magicka is full). There are a number of ways to restore magicka:

• Magicka slowly regenerates over time. You regenerate faster outside of combat than inside of combat. Magicka will not regenerate while you are casting a spell.
• Restore magicka effects are available from:
  • Magicka potions and crafted potions with the Restore Magicka effect
• Your magicka regeneration rate can be increased by:
  • Drinks with Increase Magicka Recovery
  • Potions, skills and item sets giving the Intellect buff
  • Equipment with a Glyph of Magicka Recovery enchantment
  • Passive skills for Breton and Khajiit increase magicka recovery.

• Whenever your character levels up, your magicka is fully restored
