Firewatch is one of the eight major city-states in the province of Morrowind,[1] being found deep in House Telvanni territory, on the shores of the Sea of Ghosts. Located across the strait east of Tel Mora, Firewatch marks the northern tip of the mainland of the province of Morrowind. Firewatch takes its name from the vista of the giant volcano, Red Mountain. Around 2E 298, Sigillah Parate's grandmother, a Witch of Molag Bal, was once sent by the Prince to poison the heir of Firewatch, but died in the act.[2] During the Imperial Simulacrum the city was at war with the neighboring city of Ebonheart, and was ruled by Queen Vaynth. Firewatch is neighbored by several settlements, including Glen Haven in the east, Helnim Wall in the south, and Old Run in the southwest.[3]

Notes[edit]

  • Arena was originally conceived as a fighting game featuring a tournament that took the player to each of Tamriel's cities to challenge different gladiatorial teams. According to a file from that stage of development left behind in the final game, Firewatch's gladiatorial team would have been called "the Blood Mages".[UOL 1]
