Vulkwasten (otherwise called Vulkwasten Wood)[1] is a brewery town located in the region of Malabal Tor, within the province of Valenwood. Vulkwasten is known for brewing Rotmeth, made from a long-line of Bosmeri brewers whose craft is legendary among the people.[2]

History[edit]

In 2E 578, the Chief Orhg of the Wood Orcs was hanged from the gallows in Vulkwasten.[3] Later in 2E 582, the brewery operation was in jeopardy when the Timber Mammoths were drunk off the Rotmeth, while an apprentice brewer was attempting to steal Rotmeth. However, the brewery was saved by a traveler.[4] At around the same time, the provincial generals of the Fighters Guild had gathered at Vulkwasten to investigate the death of the Guildmaster, Jofnir Iceblade.[5]

During the Imperial Simulacrum in the late Third Era, the town of Vulkwasten Wood was still an active settlement, being under the rule of Duke Argorn. It had a rivalry with Longvale.[1]
