Do not delete this page[edit]

Kindly do not delete this page, nor modify such until the article is posted. I look forward to being able to post such within the next few weeks (currently working on other race pages at the moment). -- Booyah boy 09:53, 28 August 2006 (EDT)

I've heard of Altmer, of course, but I have no idea what a Aldmer is. Good luck—I look forward to reading this article. --Aristeo 11:27, 28 August 2006 (EDT)

Orcs[edit]

How can an elf turn into an orc? — Unsigned comment by Puddle (talkcontribs)

Evolution? If you believe the Tolkien method, they were corrupted by Morgoth. You might also ask how an Altmer changed into a Dunmer. There could have been something as cataclysmic as the Battle of Red Mountain that had same sort of effect and changed Elf to Orc in the same way as the Chimer became Dunmer. –RpehTCE 17:17, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
You should read The True Nature of Orcs. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk)/(Contribs) 19:24, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
You should read the The Changed Ones as well. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk)/(Contribs) 20:32, 10 April 2008 (EDT)

Contradiction[edit]

On this page, it states that the Maormer were exiled from Summerset Isles, on the Maormer page, it states that they were not... which information is correct?69.114.148.128 18:05, 30 May 2009 (EDT)

The Maormer page is correct. See Pocket Guide to the Empire, Other Lands. --Mr. Oblivion(T-C) 18:11, 30 May 2009 (EDT)

Citations needed everywhere[edit]

Almost everything stated on this page is accompanied by [citation needed]. What gives? 99.110.124.244 21:53, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

Simple - the page needs a bunch of citations. Normally, we wouldn't do it this way, but someone did and it'll take just as much work to remove them as it will to just add the citations. • JATalk 21:55, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

Two more Mer races not mentioned![edit]

Where are the Tropical elves and the Left-handed elves? Why are they not mentioned here?--213.74.15.163 13:46, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

The Maormer are mentioned, and we know next to nothing about the Lefthanded Elves or any link they might have to the Aldmer. —Legoless (talk) 15:26, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Aldmeri language?[edit]

Does anybody else know any words in Almeris? I wanted to know some more words to include translations of names and such on certain articles, as I have don’t on the Lore page for Molag Bal. Any new words or phrases would help! Thebusdriver (talk) 04:42, 30 December 2017 (UTC)

What we know of the language seems to indicate that it is very similar to its descended languages: Ayleidoon, Ald Chimeris, Altmeris and Falmeris. You'll likely find many Aldmeri words in those languages. Most of its vocabulary seems to have come from Ehlnofex. I'd suggest not adding translations to the lore pages, however, unless they are ever used in-game or have particular significance. Speculation should always be avoided.
