ESO?[edit]

I saw that the supposed appearance of the Cape in ESO was recently removed from the page. Do we consider the entire body of water between Summerset and Valenwood to be the Cape of the Blue Divide? Because if so, it certainly appears, and we should assemble some images. —Legoless (talk) 14:38, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

My point was, ESO never CALLS it the Blue Divide. The words Blue Divide are used twice, both in phrases like "I'll send you to the Blue Divide!" like an exclamation in battle. Makes me think "Blue Divide" is just their name for the ocean, rather than specifically this body of water. The cape of the blue divide would be some specific cape, and we don't know which one so we don't know whether it appears. Jeancey (talk) 22:01, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
ESO doesn't call any location "Sea of Ghosts" either; doesn't mean we don't know where it is and whether it appears. By way of comparison, see Online:Unnamed Locations in Vvardenfell which is a list of 30+ locations which go unnamed in ESO despite appearing.
The question remains: do we consider the entire body of water between Summerset and Valenwood to be the Cape of the Blue Divide? If so I think ESO deserves a mention on the page. —Legoless (talk) 12:08, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
The body of water is indeed called both the Cape of the Blue Divide and the Blue Divide. Pocket Guide to the Empire, 1st Edition/Hammerfell describes the Cape of the Blue Divide as the "dread waters of the Aldmeri Dominion," even though a cape isn't a body of water. I think we should keep the ESO appearance. --Vincentius1 (talk) 13:38, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
Given that the Blue Divide really doesn't appear in text in game at all, I really don't see a use for an ESO page. The physical water might appear, but it's never named and has zero importance in game, which means at BEST an article would just transclude the lore page, and at worst it's a stub that never gets added to. I just don't see the use. If there is zero additional information from the lore page (since NO new information comes from ESO, this is a fact, it'll have no new information), then a page in the online namespace is useless. Best to let any references to the Blue Divide (literally two) remain linked to the lore page. That's where people will get the most information. Jeancey (talk) 19:14, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
