Timeline[edit]

How do we want to handle the mentioning of Farrun in 2920? It is historical fiction after all, and it doesn't really match up with the timeline established by the Orsinium DLC. I've left it as-is for now. —Legoless (talk) 13:35, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Are there given any in-game explanations on why there is a Breton-designed prison complex in 2E 582 when it is an Orcish stronghold of traditional (possibly implying hostility towards Bretons) Orc clan? (I have not got that far in the quest line yet.) Can it be a remnant of a former Breton Farrun from 1E, before the stronghold? Towns might change hands more than once. —MortenOSlash (talk) 21:27, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
No, you actually meet the Breton architect if you complete an optional quest objective there - he was hired by Bazrag. The prison has Orc architecture as well. Having said that, it seems like the ruins of Orsinium were inhabited by Reachmen during the time of the Longhouse Emperors, so there may well have been a "Breton" presence at Fharun. No evidence though. —Legoless (talk) 22:49, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
They changed the Farrun reference in Ardent Flame: Draconic or Endemic? to Fharun, but chose to leave the one in 2920 alone - probably because it was an earlier work. The Loremaster said that there never were any Breton kingdoms there, but that does not rule out the possibility of a Breton living there - for example, in Wrothgar you actually meet a Khajiit living with an Orc tribe in a stronghold. I'd just treat the appearance of the name Farrun and not Fharun in 2920 as an error, but Lord Storig could still have come from there. Thus it probably would be best to leave it as it is, maybe in a separate paragraph. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 23:28, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
He ought to be moved up above the ESO paragraph, perhaps in a section establishing that the settlement has been around since the late First Era. —Legoless (talk) 23:35, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
