Rephrasing[edit]

He is the youngest son of the royal couple beside his brother Greklith from whom is said that he was only the second born son of the royal family. Whether this was true or only gossip, Lhotun was determined to gain answers to this question.

I've moved this here until someone can clarify what it means. If there were only two sons and he is the youngest, then it would seem that he was the second born son. So why would this be gossip? --NepheleTalk 22:14, 14 June 2008 (EDT)

Probably needs some clarification
The royal couple of Sentinel had four children, these were in birth order Arthago, Aubk-i, Greklith and Lhotun. Becaus Arthago was a physical week boy and was therefore ill very often, king and queen decided, he would be to weak to rule Sentinel. Therefore they hired some thugs, who kidnapped Arthago and brought him to a dungeon where he died. Then they proclaimed that Greklith was their firstborn and therefore heir to the throne of Sentinel. This plot will be revealed during the Main Quest of Daggerfall, where Lhotun asks the player to find the whereabout of his lost brother. I didn't want to add this spoiler to Lhotuns biography, therefore the cryptical formulation. Thaat event is also mentioned in the book Lore: Night Falls on Sentinel where King Lhoton sends a member of his royal guard out to hunt down the last one of the thugs, who kidnapped Artaho so many years ago (a very interesting story in my opinion some kind of late retribution). Hpefully, I've cleared all misunderstandings with my article. --PLRDLF 22:53, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
Aha. Thanks for the explanation (and thanks for all the work you've been doing on Daggerfall content!) My feeling is it's best on the Tamriel article to spell out all of the facts so that the information makes sense even to someone who has never played Daggerfall. The Tamriel namespace is a place for readers to find out the history behind the Elder Scrolls universe, whether or not they're planning to play any of the particular games, and therefore shouldn't sacrifice accuracy to prevent spoilers. However, the full information may not be appropriate on the Daggerfall:Lhotun page, which (unlike the Tamriel article) is intended to provide information to people who are playing Daggerfall. There it's probably better to just point to the quest for details. --NepheleTalk 23:15, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
