Disgusting Creatures[edit]

"In Oblivion, the player can visit Malacath's shrine, patronized entirely by orcs who view other races as disgusting vile creatures."
This isn't right, is it? The orcs called themselves disgusting creatures, and were proud of it. They didn't call other races disgusting. Tenraah 01:39, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

I've marked the entire article for cleanup. It's a total mess and no part of it should be taken seriously. rpeh •TCE 01:43, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Malak[edit]

The word Malak is Hebrew for "King", which might suit Malacath's nature, as the Lord of spurned creatures, and particularly Lord of the Orcs. — Unsigned comment by 24.117.107.182 (talk) at 06:05 on 19 January 2011 (UTC)

Calling all lore nerds[edit]

The article implies that the Orsimer didn't exist until Trinimac was changed. I'm not certain, but that doesn't seem right to me. I was under the the impression that the Orsimer elves existed beforehand, but were changed into modern-day Orcs by Trinimac's fall. But I'm not sure. Minor Edits 01:06, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Greetings, Minor Edits, from this humble Lore Nerd. The article is correct; when Trinimac was devoured by Boethiah, what came out was not Trinimac. It was his corrupted form, Malacath. (Disturbing, right?) His devout Aldmer followers were twisted and corrupted just as he was, becoming the Orsimer or Pariah Folk. --Kalis Agea 01:30, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Thank you, o wise nerd, for clearing that up. Indeed, divine feces is disturbing. Minor Edits 01:37, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Glad to be of service; if you ever again need the services of a Lore Nerd, do not hesitate to ask! --Kalis Agea 01:43, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Divayth Fyr and Malacath[edit]

Is there any explained reason why Divayth possesses all the malacath-related artifacts? — Unsigned comment by 85.191.86.135 (talk) at 07:08 on August 25, 2011

Not exactly. As it says on his page, he is very old and is known to be a collector of special items, such as his Daedric armor set. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 16:44, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
True, but it seems awfully specific for him to have all three associated artifacts. Hell, depending on whether or not the dremora guy serves divayth, all of his artifacts are associated with a single daedric prince. And divayth does take care of the otherwise spurned corprus victims. — Unsigned comment by 85.191.86.135 (talk) at 05:57 on August 26, 2011

related quests missing[edit]

the quests Malacath is needed in are missing. I would fix this myself but i don't know any of his quests other than oblivion — Unsigned comment by Gef21 (talkcontribs) at 13:45 on 3 January 2012 (GMT)

this is a lore page, we dont list the related quests in lorespace (Eddie The Head 14:06, 3 January 2012 (UTC))

Lord of Souls[edit]

Um this may be a nitpick but isn't it worth noting he may shapeshift? I mean I am sure as a Daedric Prince all of them are able to change shape but we never heard of Malacath specifically doing this until Lord of Souls where he appears as an Female High Elf (Of course it was only to gain Attrebus' trust to see why he was there) Also, he helped Attrebus and Sul on their quest for Umbra by sending them to Solstheim (With a warning to not let him down) and saved Attrebus if I recall correctly (When he has his I believe stomach slashed open). Or is this too small a detail and can be dismissed either way I think it's worth noting whether it stays in talk or goes onto his lore page. --Lore Master 02:26, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

I think it's pretty much implicit that any Daedric Prince may disguise themselves however they wish. Might be worth spelling that out more clearly at Lore:Daedric Princes, though. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 02:30, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
