Dragon's Teeth Mountains[edit]

"A mountain range which stretches from the icy mountains of High Rock, down through Hammerfell, then somehow passes into Valenwood, though Hammerfell and Valenwood do not border each other."

Is this even possible ? "Somehow passes into valenwood" ? After the release of Oblivion one can clearly see that this is not possible, just as it states in the text. And as far as i know there are no mountains in Valenwood. So surely some of this information must be fictional. --Hlaalu66 (talk) 23:42, 28 December 2013 (GMT)

Or just dated. It's possible Valenwood used to border Hammerfell. I think I recall some mention of Valenwood's territory dwindling due to some war or another. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 23:51, 28 December 2013 (GMT)
Arena info that's been retconned. —Legoless (talk) 23:51, 28 December 2013 (GMT)
And it is definitely possible the info's inaccurately relying upon Arena in the first place. I have to check Ria Silmane's dialogue. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 23:56, 28 December 2013 (GMT)
Here we go: "The fifth piece of the Staff lies in an ancient stronghold of sorcery called the Crystal Tower. It was said that the southern tip of the Dragon's Teeth, which stretches from the ice covered mounts of High Rock to the wooded forests of Valenwood, could be seen on the horizon from the top parapet of the Tower." I believe there's also another line about Fang Lair being located in the mountains, confirmed they pass through Hammerfell as well. —Legoless (talk) 15:57, 29 December 2013 (GMT)
She says Fang Lair is in the Dragon's Teeth, and the quest takes place in Hammerfell, but she doesn't corroborate there that they pass through Hammerfell.
The only problem here is my bad writing. I don't think the sources conflict, so long as we accept that the dialogue I quoted implicitly says that the mountains through Hammerfell and Cyrodiil.
We would also have to attribute the confusion on this to Oblivion sucking. From a lore perspective, the hills we saw in Oblivion stretching from Hammerfell to Valenwood were actually supposed to be part of the aging southern tip of the Dragon's Teeth Mountains. But that's what you get when you make the largest province on the continent smaller than Vvardenfell. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 00:52, 30 December 2013 (GMT)
