Uriel death

Are you sure Uriel is killed in that date i mean look at this if you waited in ingame time then he would die in any day or possibly year if you waited too long so i think you should change this. --108.243.150.168 19:17, 21 October 2012 (GMT)

We make the assumption all over the lore section that the events of the game take place in the year the game starts, and that's not going to change. And in this case, we do have it confirmed by The Third Era Timeline. Minor Edits^{Threats•Evidence} 19:29, 21 October 2012 (GMT)

Uriel's another bastard?

During Calaxes' reign as Archbishop, tensions grew between himself and the Emperor due to Calaxes' views on the secularity of government, and the Emperor's Legislation to limit the Church's Authority. Rumors grew that Calaxes was advocating a rebellion to establish a Theocracy, and soon afterwards he was assassinated on the 29th of Sun's Dusk 3E 398, in the Temple of the One, supposedly by Lady Benoch and the Imperial Guard because of the threat he represented.

Amulet alerting and time slowing

During Uriel VII's incarceration, Tharn slowed time so that Uriel VII would not age, because if he died the Amulet of Kings would alert the Elder Council; this may explain why Uriel VII lived and ruled for such a long period of time.

Are there sources for both slowing of time and the Amulet alerting the Council? 93.178.98.207 11:12, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

Took some digging, but that statement was added by Teotzlcoatl way back in 2010. And from another contribution of his, looks like the source would be the Arena manual which does say exactly what he added. I don't know of any more recent source that backs up the 'slowing down time' aspect of it, although A Short Life says Uriel "had no notion of passage of time". As far the alerting of the Council, I think that can be interpreted as a reference to the Dragonfires going out, which happens upon the death of every Emperor. Their successor performs a ritual with the Amulet to relight them, which also serves as proof of their legitimacy. So if the fires went out when Tharn was still impersonating Uriel, the Council would be alerted that something was up. -- Hargrimm^(T) 13:24, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

Emperor's Day and Uriel's birthday

The article claims - referring to Arena's intro sequence - that Uriel VII's birthday is sometime prior to 1st of Heartfire (September), whereas Emperor's Day is on the 30th of Frostfall (October). Are we certain that Emperor's Day is meant to celebrate Uriel VII's birthday at all? Sure, the article states that the holiday is symbolic, but what if Frostfall 30th was Tiber Septim's birthday, hence why it became symbolic? I mean, what other Emperor is worthy of having a full-fledged (and fixed) holiday honouring his birthday than Tiber? And then the birthdays of all subsequent emperors are publicly celebrated on this day as well, but they celebrate their respective birth-dates privately.--92.114.148.91 10:48, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
