I believe that "29th of Sun's Dusk 3E 498" should be 3E 398 since the 3rd era ends in 433. Since this error appears in the game I put a 'sic' to point this out.— Unsigned comment by Yoah (talkcontribs) on 19 October 2008

Which Emperor was she head of the personal guard for?[edit]

There are actually several things wrong with the history as told in this book. Supposedly, Lady Benoch was 16 in "the black year of 396". But later she "became the master of the Valenwood Fighter's Guild after winning a duel with the former master, who was a stooge of the Imperial Battlemage, the traitor Jagar Tharn." Yet Jagar Tharn was only the Imperial Battlemage until 3E 399! Did Lady Benoch learn to swordfight, become an adventurer and rise to the leadership of the Fighter's Guild all within three years, at the age of 19? It doesn't seem very likely.

The key thing I'm concerned about, however, is that the word "Emperor" in the first sentence is currently linked to Emperor Uriel III. That doesn't seem to work at all, since his dates are listed elsewhere as 3E 121 - 3E 127. And the rest of the information - Jagar Tharn, Queen Akorithi of Sentinel, and Calaxes Septim all clearly relate to the time of Uriel VII.

I think that the link to Emperor should be changed to Uriel VII. baratron (talk) 04:04, 12 March 2014 (GMT)

To your first point, I think that is entirely possible if she was really gifted. Also, who's to say that the adventuring didn't help her master her swordcraft and help her rise to the top of the fighter's guild?
To your second point, I changed the link. Jeancey (talk) 04:43, 12 March 2014 (GMT)

Calaxes Septim's Date of Death and Lady Benoch's Career[edit]

Not that it matters to the page itself, but to make certain the assumptions don't creep back in, re: the arguments above about Calaxes' date of death and Benoch's career. 398 is *not* a likely date and Jagar Tharn was not the one who commanded Benoch.
