A Friend in Deed[edit]

I removed the quest A Friend in Deed that was added to his page because his name is on the Weapons and Armor Contract. Should his name even have been there? Being a thief it seems unlikely to me that he would even be involved and the names should have been Ralen Tilvur and Felyn Saranas? unless I have misunderstood something? — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 09:49, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

maybe it shouldn't have been there, but the fact of the matter is that it IS on there. i think it's at least noteworthy enough to leave. also the quest a friend in deed mentions that he was, until just recently becoming a bandit, a legitimate bodyguard for a trader, so it does kinda make sense that he would contract some gear. 174.61.251.163 05:06, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
His name is on there, but if he is not functionally related to the quest, I don't think it should be a related quest on the page. If it was an accidental placement of his name, that's even more distance between him and the quest. Vely►t►e 01:26, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
I think maybe as a compromise, we could put mention of this in a Notes section, rather than a quest link. It is significant that the name appears, even if it doesn't make sense in terms of a connection to the quest. It's entirely possible that this quest underwent a revision of some sort during development, and his connection was at one point intentional, but removed - or it could be a simple mistake. We can't really know, but it's worth a mention even if it was just a mistake. --TheRealLurlock Talk 05:18, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

() Since it seems no action was taken and A Friend in Deed was left as a related quest, I'd like to bring this back up as personally I don't think it should be listed as one. I would have no problem mentioning his name being on the contract as a note since it is an interesting detail (or leave the current sentence about it as is), but since he's not involved directly with the quest I see little justification in listing this quest as a related quest for Alvur. Agreed. I'd personally leave it like it is on this page and put in the Note section along with a little explanation on the "A Friend in Deed" article (without too much speculation like the anon suggested). But either way, Alvur is not related to the quest, as the shipment itself is not a direct part of the quest. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 09:39, 7 June 2014 (GMT)
I went ahead and removed it. The current note explaining it is fine. Jeancey (talk) 09:42, 7 June 2014 (GMT)
