Page Name[edit]

Please excuse what may turn out to be the ramblings of an utter newb, but... is there a reason why "(place)" is included in the title of this ruins' page? If not, could we remove it for consistency's sake? Aran-Cthulhu 06:10, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

It is named as such due to the Quest of the same name. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 06:12, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Dammit! I was nearly there to posting exactly what you did AKB! =D JackTurbo95 06:13, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Ah! It all becomes clear now! Thanks. Aran-Cthulhu 16:16, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Will it break any links if I capitalize "(place)" on the Dwemer Ruins page? I know---it's a small, silly thing. :) Aran-Cthulhu 16:31, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Why would you want to do that? "Place" is not a part of its proper name. --Brf 16:36, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
True, but I saw that in Dagoth Ur's page, its proper name is followed by "(Facility)", and I assumed that to capitalize the category was the standard. Aran-Cthulhu 16:40, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Dagoth Ur is named "Facility" in the game. --Brf 16:43, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
I see - thank you. Aran-Cthulhu 16:47, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

Treasure not on map[edit]

In the southwest corner of the lava room (between the dead steam centurion and the entrance) is a Dwemer Cog stuck in the rock. It looks like decor, but you can actually take it. Also, you can get a piece of scrap metal from the centurion itself. Gglazer (talk) 03:43, 2 July 2013 (GMT)

That isn't really treasure enough to put on the map. Also, you can get scrap metal from any automaton, so that isn't particularly noteworthy. Jeancey (talk) 04:17, 2 July 2013 (GMT)

Original research?[edit]

* Texture names for some parts of the Dwemer tileset reference "eggmine", indicating Bethamez was the first Dwemer ruin created by Bethesda. This is consistent with Gnisis's prominent use in early screenshots.

Moved this here because this sounds like original research / speculation. Are there any sources that can corroborate this claim?

Also, I don't understand how "some Dwemer textures reference 'eggmine'" leads to a conclusion of "Bethamez was the first Dwemer ruin created by Bethesda." If this is true, can someone please explain the intermediate steps to what appears to be a leap of logic? Salamangkero (talk) 17:48, 21 March 2023 (UTC)

How many other eggmines in the game uses Dwemer assets? --Agiletek (talk) 07:01, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
