Attacking & Undead[edit]

I can confirm that attacking a creature or NPC that is affected by a calm spell does not break the spell. I have tested this recently on a couple of atronachs (see below) and a nix-hound.

Also, something I have observed: I have some custom spells that cast calm creature and calm humanoid simultaneously (both magnitude 1 duration 10). These spells affect both undead and daedra, despite the descriptions of the two effects in question. Has anybody else experienced this? I haven't had chance to check which calm effect is affecting the undead and daedra, but I suspect it is the calm creature one. --Gaebrial 02:40, 25 October 2007 (EDT)

No enchanting?[edit]

I'm sorry... but what does it mean when the Calm spell is described as "No enchanting"? I initially thought it means I cannot enchant an object with a Calm XXX spell effect but it has been suggested in Morrowind:Useful_Enchantments#Basic_Enchantments that it is perfectly possible. So... what does it exactly mean? 58.69.88.135 15:13, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

It's been ages since I played Morrowind, but I think it's specifying that this otherwise Offensive effect cannot be applied to weapons with cast-on-strike application, meaning enchantments can only use it when readied like a spell would be cast. 76.185.59.21 22:10, 18 July 2014 (GMT)
That is definitely not true, I just made a sword with both Calm Humanoid and Calm Creature as On Strike effects. This was done using the Xbox version of the game, so no unofficial patches or anything like that. Dragos Drakkar (talk) 06:56, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Unless a patch for the computer version of the game that the Xbox version didn't get changed the enchantment, then that part about No Enchanting might hold true. Dragos Drakkar (talk) 18:03, 20 July 2016 (UTC)

Calm Humanoid/Creature + fire/frost/shock/health damage or absorb health[edit]

If i making a spell with calm humanoid/creature + fire/shock/frost/health damage or absorb health, will the enemies stand to suffer damage without reacting or escaping? Can anyone test?
