Recent Image Change[edit]

Sorry, I disagree with a recent change, changing this image to this. I feel that while it is a good idea to provide a clear image of a subject, it is a shame if all the atmosphere is lost. Players will not see this facility without the Blight storms (until they finish the Main Quest, at which point they have already been here), so the image displayed here is not really accurate.

Note that my motive is to aim for a broader subject. How much atmosphere may be sacrificed for the sake of clarity? I'm more than willing to help improve the clarity of the Blight version of these examples, but I think it goes too far to remove the weather alltogether.
I like to hear how everyone feels about it. --Timenn < talk > 15:59, 29 May 2008 (EDT)

I'm inclined to agree. Dagoth Ur is a blighted location, so a clear image doesn't represent what is seen by players, and therefore probably won't be recognized by many players. Perhaps the clear image should be provided further down the page to allow the details to be seen, but I think the image at the top of the page should be more typical. On the other hand, if it's possible to do some cleanup of the blighted image without removing all atmosphere, that wouldn't hurt. --NepheleTalk 20:47, 3 June 2008 (EDT)

Perhaps?[edit]

it might be of benefit to newer players to mark the exact location of the crank that opens the door. For some it might be a time consuming pain in the...err... rear :D to spend a lot of time in the area, already fighting the decreased vision from the blight storm. Just a thought! Exactly! I spent two hours searching for this stupid crank! And this page didn't help at all, because it says the crank is to the south, while it's actually west of the door. I found more exact description of the location on another morrowind page. Even then, I still searched for half an hour until I found it. It's basically left from you if you face the entrance to the facility. It's extremely difficult to find, because you can't see anything in the blight storm, even with Night-Eye 50% WRFan 19:08, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
You're free to correct it yourself. There is even a map on the article you can update with the crank's location. --Timenn-<talk> 20:48, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
