Repeated phrase...

I've noticed that the following phrase is on every single one of the Stronghold pages:

The strongholds seem interesting to the traveler, but should be approached very carefully. They have largely been abandoned, but have since generally proved attractive to whatever group feels strong enough to hold them. At last report...

Is it really necessary to repeat this phrase on every one of these pages? It also seems weird that we use phrases like "At last report..." implying that we don't really know what might be there, when of course we do. We don't dither around like that on any other place pages. We state factually what's there, without trying to sound like somebody who just heard a rumor within the game. Not sure why these pages got treated differently from the rest, but it seems like they should be re-written. --TheRealLurlock ^Talk 21:24, 20 January 2009 (EST)

Agreed.

It sounds interesting, but isn't necessary, and doesn't flow.

That first sentence could be on THIS page for all of them, and then you can just say "This stronghold is being occupied by ________" (if, of course, you haven't cleared it yet) 75.15.176.214 00:42, 24 May 2009 (EDT)

Voicing opposition (after more than a decade lol), personal note: The phrase, "At last report," for these fort articles has singlehandedly made research, before delving into an index-yeilding fort, the most fun and immersive experience I've ever had using a wiki. The phrase feels like I had sent some guy to scout ahead and gladly paid 500 gold for his intelligence. Till the time of writing, the paragraph in question has remained. But I am placing an opposition here, in the event that this discussion plays a part in rewriting the forts' articles. MoreWindPlair 00:49, 8 Dec 2022 (CST)

Strongholds origins

There is some forgotten info about Dunmer Strongholds origins and historical functions in Morrowind Prophecies that would be interesting to add in the intro as there is no space for specific architecture/buildings types in lore. I'm going to add a little mention in the introduction with the source.--Tamrié (talk) 18:31, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
