I dispute this. I've managed to start this quest while having the Bloodmoon expansion enabled. I didn't talk to Larrius Varro about latest rumors before I completed the introduction quest of Bloodmoon (An Island to the North). But as far as I've encountered the rumor about Solstheim it vanishes after the first time it is mentioned. --Timenn < talk > 12:00, 30 January 2008 (EST)

There is a minor issue in that if you have Bloodmoon installed and active, latest rumors will give you the rumor about Solstheim, no matter who you ask, until you ask somebody about Solstheim. This updates your journal, and you no longer get the Solstheim rumor. --Gaebrial 02:22, 31 January 2008 (EST)

Thank you, I was wondering if that might have been the case here. But it seems the issue is easily resolved by simply asking about Solstheim.
