Sharn has dissappeared in my game of the year edition on Xbox, i know i have seen her reappear, possibly more than once, this seems to be related to the issue of some charactors bobbing/hovering as she does when visible. should she not reappear and xbox not having a console is there any other way of her returning so i may continue on the main quest? i am going to get the key to Key to Lower Arkngthand from Hasphat to see if that clears this up, wrong place for the question but has that key been found to open anything?--Hortator 10:16, 1 April 2007 (EDT)

I've added info about this on Sharn gra-Muzgob's page. (At the bottom.) The only known fix on the Xbox is to save, quit, and reload near where Sharn usually stands. It doesn't always work, unfortunately, but there is no other known fix that doesn't require the console on the PC. --TheRealLurlock Talk 01:21, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
The fix I've found is to create a brand new game (doesn't matter what character). Go to Balmora and start the Main Quest by joining the Blades with Caius. Go to the Balmora Mages Guild and stand in front of Sharn. Save the game. Without turning off the XBox, reload the game where Sharn had disappeared. Save this game to overwrite the brand new game you just created. Turn off/on the XBox. Load the game you just saved. When you return to the Mages Guild (from wherever you were) Sharn will have reappeared. I have not attempted to validate if you need to perform all the steps, simply creating a new game save and save overwrite the missing Sharn game may be all that is necessary, but I've followed the steps I listed here more than once and without fail Sharn comes back. 00:15, 26 September 2007 (PDT)
dont mean to bring up a old discussion but does the saving thing work on the original version? — Unsigned comment by Eddie the head (talkcontribs) on 16 jan 2011
You are replying to an anonymous poster from four years ago. I doubt you are going to get a reply. Best try it yourself. --Brf 14:09, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Completing quest after Back Path[edit]

If you already defeated Dagoth Ur by back path, Caius will be the only person who have no idea it's already done, and will continue to give you quests. You can complete puzzle box, but not this one with Gra-Muzgob. When you return with scull, she will have interesting dialogue, like asking you to show tongue and wondering if you're like a lich, how comes you've become resurrected Nervarine. Knowing her interest in studying necromancy, that's pretty fun dialogue. if you ask her quest phrase about Nervarine, she will tell that it's you, and you should know better than she on the matter. So she will not give you any notes, thus making the quest unsolved. because Caius still not aware on the Dagoth Ur death, you'll need to finish quest via console, or do not ask for orders after puzzle box. Need to read the notes?[edit]

Under the "Notes" section of this article, it says:

The notes from Hasphat to Cosades, from the previous quest, must be read by the player, or the Gra-Muzgob quest will not start.

Is this even true? It has never been true in my experience. It always allowed me to start this quest even without reading Hasphat's notes.68.84.208.214 03:49, 25 October 2017 (UTC)

There is no requirement for the player to read Hasphat's notes; the player only has to give the notes to Caius to complete the Antabolis Informant quest (stage 20). This allows the gra-Muzgob quest to start the next time the player asks Caius about Orders. (Confirmed in CS.) I've removed the erroneous note. — Wolfborn(Howl) 08:50, 4 May 2023 (UTC)

Answer to: Need to read notes? (Quest: Gra-Muzgob Informant. Sharn gra-Muzgob errand bug)[edit]

Sharn gra-Muzgob Errand Bug

"During the Antabolis Informant quest, I did not read Hasphat's notes when returning to Caius. When Caius gives the Gra-Muzgob Informant quest, upon speaking to Sharn gra-Muzgob, there is no dialogue pertaining to an errand for the Skull of Llevule Andrano."

I had blight, and Sharn gra-Muzgob didn't mention anything about having disease. After going to the Temple in Balmora and asking for a blessing, cure blight, the blight was gone. When I went back to Sharn gra-Muzgob the "errand" dialog was present, and I was able to continue the "Informant" quest.

If disease or blight was not the issue, then there is another way to complete the main quest. It involves skipping bringing Sharn gra-Muzgob's notes back to Caius Cosades.

"If you go get the Moon-and-star Ring, you'll automatically pickup the main quest from that point, allowing you to skip bringing back Sharn gra-Muzgob notes to Casius. Try heading toward Urshilaku Camp and speak with Nibani about the lost prophecies, you do have to become Hortator and befriend the Ashlanders." Jgrimes1984 (talk) 01:24, 27 April 2018 (UTC)

Sharn didn't have the dialogue option for "errand" when I had witbane/common disease XBOX GOTY. Only gave me generic healer greeting. — Unsigned comment by 68.229.241.95 (talk) at 03:30 on 3 June 2020
