quest doesn't finish

I tried to finish this quest by killing Eno (and not letting him retire... I want those sanguine items) but I don't get the journal entry 100. Looked through the dialogue, that doesn't seem to help. I think they forgot to include that part in Eno's script. Am I overlooking something or do I have to use the console now? -Meisterdieb 17:28, 25 January 2009 (EST)

Experiencing this same issue. I completed all of Eno's quests and chose the "Slay him!" option to become Grandmaster (which I am, according to my Faction list), but journal index 20 remains open in my active quests.--NibKing (talk) 04:46, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

Grandmaster Writs

I encountered the same problem as above (no journal update for his death) and I discovered I was was not able to to take on any of the Grandmaster Writs as a result. So I played on by letting him retire and then went to obtain the writs but still there are no writs available. Is there something simple I've missed in order to activate them? Only one possibility comes to mind: How far along in the Main Quest are you? The Grandmaster Writs are only given AFTER you have destroyed Dagoth Ur -Meisterdieb 16:16, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
