Sjoring Hard-Heart is clueless[edit]

It kind of bothered me some that Hard-Heart is so clueless... In the previous quest, his cronies Lorbumol gro-Aglakh and Eydis Fire-Eye will attack you on site; but in this quest, Hard-heart is clueless and still speaks amiably with you.

"Advancement? The only job left to promote you into is my own job... but we will talk about that later. Meanwhile, I have some Orders for you."
"Orders? Yeah. I have orders right here in my scabbard. Say hello to my new Daedric Dai-katana."

Even after drawing my weapon he still stood there with a stupid smile on his face.

I see no reason to taunt him into attacking either. The current second-in-command is the one who has given me the task to cut him down. The third-in-command, Hrundi at Wolverine Hall, wants him dead too according to his response to the Thieves Guild Hrundi's Lover quest. His cronies Lorbumol and Eydis are dead or pacified. Whose wrath would you be inciting? --Brf 13:07, 21 April 2008 (EDT)

Taking Percius's armor is stealing[edit]

Percius's "gift" of Orcish and Glass Armor are in two chests owned by him. Taking them at any time, even if he gives you the key during this quest, is considered stealing. The armor will all be marked as stolen i.e. confiscated by guards when paying a bounty. If any NPC (except Commanded NPCs) is in the room when you are taking the armor, they will report you for stealing. -Smokey— Unsigned comment by 110.159.87.30 (talk) at 18:52 on 27 September 2011

You might be right, they are definitely owned by Percius and no dialogue script seems to affect that. I'll add it to the page. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 17:17, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
Actually, I've removed it for now, since I believe it might be related to another glitch. Wolok gro-Barok 22:18, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
It's not a glitch, if you turn on tfh setting in console you'll see chests have ownership. So taking things from them when owner is alive is a big crime :) Take it when owner is dead (by your hand, just after getting the key), if you want to play as honest char. Update. I just checked CS and there's no scripts that will clear ownership, so it's intended. I fixed it by small mod, where i change ownership on chest and skill book to faction Fg rank Guardian (can be set to champion, but i'm not sure is this rank applies if you skip some quests and ask grandmaster for orders too early). I believe it's something that could be fixed in future patches. Oxyk 00:11, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

"obviously well armored"[edit]

The page seems to claim that Hard-Heart is well armored and skilled, but in my game he is both a middling fighter and all of his steel armor (is that even enough to be "well armored"?) is in his inventory rather than being equipped. Is this an issue with lacking information on the page or is OpenMW screwing it up?
