Shrine of Daring[edit]

The shrine of daring, below the ministry, is not activated by gold, but by a rising force potion. On this article, it says "activate the shrine for a few gold". — Unsigned comment by 201.53.108.146 (talk) on 27 September 2008

You're right. The article has been fixed, thanks for mentioning that. --Timenn < talk > 16:22, 27 September 2008 (EDT)

Temple Membership[edit]

You do not have to be Patriarch to avoid being attacked. I did this quest yesterday as a Disciple, and the guards told me to leave but never attacked, even when I picked the door locks. The guard outside, Alvela Saram, mentions that your "Temple Ranks" may help you talk your way through. 68.72.55.190 15:53, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

I did a bunch of tests on this and put my results on the page. If you are a Temple member of any rank under Patriarch, then the guards will not attack as long as you have a Disposition of 100. Anything under 100 and they attack on sight. With Disposition 100, if you activate a guard, he will tell you you do not belong there, and will attack if you activate that guard a second time. 98.212.35.195 00:02, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
That makes sense... although I'm a bit surprised all the guards react in the same way - they have different alarm and fight stats. rpeh •TCE 00:10, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
I didnt try all of the guards in my latest test, just the two closest to the back door, who had identical reactions to each other. In my earlier game I had 100 disposition and a Temple Rank of about 4 or 5, and every guard I activated gave me the "You do not belong here" message, so I assumed they were scripted the same. The funny thing about this test was that once the two attacked because disposition was less than 100, they were scripted to re-attack, even if I used the console to raise disposition to 100 and did stopcombat. I assume each has some sort of "You warned him" local variable that is set to "You are attacking" 98.212.35.195 02:46, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
Went in as Patriarch with almost full disposition (which I charmed to max when talking to the Grand Inquisitor). There was no special dialogue with absolutely anyone, even when wearing full Indoril armor. Everyone just told me to get out or be attacked. Was automatically attacked when I entered the pricon cell room. This information seems to be bollocks.
The greetings for all the Ministry of Truth guys are out of order, so if you're at least an Adept in the Temple, you'll always get the Adept greeting, which is basically "go away or die." It's not possible to get the Patriarch greetings EVER, but you can still get the Indoril armor greeting if you're below Adept, or not in the faction at all. The Morrowind Patch Project fixes these issues.

Can You Kill Caius??[edit]

After he gives you your last orders, but before you leave his house or rest, can you attempt to kill Caius? — Unsigned comment by 208.214.103.202 (talk) at 23:22 on 27 October 2010

I suppose you could if you wanted to. Once he give you your last promotion, there is nothing else he does. You would have to try it out and see what happens. --Brf 01:02, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Add a console command?[edit]

to the bug section, to bring Mehra Milo back. In my every playthrough, every single one, she never shows up at the Monastery, as a rule. If she was merely through the floor, "RA" should bring her back, but it doesn't, and every time I have to find out the exact commands to bring her back in front of me. — Unsigned comment by 109.189.92.142 (talk)

For the record: PlaceAtPC, "mehra milo", 1, 1, 1 will place her at the player character's current location. - 91.157.57.92 14:30, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
