The Slaves; two questions[edit]

1) Can more than one slave follow you at once?

2) Can you tell bought slaves to wait?

Thanks, --Arch-Mage MattTalk 01:23, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

  1. Yes.
  2. No.
I don't think there's a limit to the number of slaves who can follow you. I've certainly had all six from Tel Aruhn following me at once. Once they start following you, though, the only thing you can do is free them. rpeh •TCE 18:14, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Makes it very dangerous for them, then. I'll buy 'em anyway.--Arch-Mage MattTalk 19:15, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

The Purpose?[edit]

What exactly is the purpose of purchasing a slave? I can assume that if you free them they count towards the number of freed slaves for certain aspects of the game; is there any other point to it?

They are used in the quests that are mentioned on the page. Other than that, not really (maybe roleplaying). Vesna 21:40, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Slave Market service?[edit]

This page seems to be a specifically for the Tel Aruhn slave market, but the other towns that have a Slave market point here. Is that desirable? --Brf 20:36, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

It's not desirable, and probably not intentional either. It's easy to add a link and assume it's going to the right place. Those other links should probably be removed. rpeh •TCE 21:19, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Argonia[edit]

I purchased the slaves to free them, and when asked about the subject Twin Lamps, all the non-beastfolk slaves here (the Altmer, Redguard, Bosmer, Breton and Imperial) said, "I do not know if they really exist. It is said they help slaves like us escape. Until you arrived, I did not believe I would ever see Argonia again." This is Argonian dialogue and I thought it might be an interesting bug to share (though not so much a bug as Bethesda simply not making unique dialogue for the few men/mer slaves). I can't recall right now, but I believe there are a few other non-beast slaves in the game. Do they also have the Argonian dialogue?
