Almsivi Intervention[edit]

I was the one who made the edit earlier today about Almsivi Restoration bringing you to Vivec. I cast from the center of town, the silt strider, and inside and outside the temple, all of which brought me to Vivec. The last one (being inside the temple) surprised me, because on the map Molag Mar looks closer. When I got to Molag Mar, I was not in Suran, but to the west, and not technically in the town. My mistake. ----The Z Man---- — Unsigned comment by The.Z.Man (talkcontribs) on 21 October 2008

I actually tested your previous edit because I was surprised we could have got something like this so wrong for so long. I couldn't find anywhere that would transport me to Suran. Can you tell me where you were standing? –RpehTCE 16:35, 21 October 2008 (EDT)
Okay. I know there are some places where casting from one part of the town goes to one location and casting from another goes somewhere else, e.g. Seyda Neen and Pelagiad, each of which will transport you to Balmora from the northern half and Vivec from the southern half. I know Suran is also two cells, and according to my Almsivi Intervention map, it's right on the border, so it could've been split as well, but that's why I said it needed verification. I'm not sure exactly how the distance is calculated. Whether it does an accurate distance calc dist = sqrt(lat2 + long2) or just a simpler and faster-executing dist = lat + long (where lat = the difference in lattitude and long = the distance in longitude). I went with the assumption that it's the simpler code, but that could be wrong, which is why many of the cells are marked with striped colors on the borders.
It does, however, seem to depend solely on the cell you're in, and not your location within a cell. If teleporting from one part of a cell brings you to a given location, then teleporting from ANYwhere within that same cell brings you to the same location, which you can test in Seyda Neen and Pelagiad. The instant you cross the border to the other cell of the town, your Almsivi location changes to the other location. (Presumably the same with Divine Intervention, but I don't know of any cities that are split in the same way.) --TheRealLurlock Talk 17:09, 21 October 2008 (EDT)
When I tested it, I tried the temple courtyard, the silt strider port, and the area north of the entrance due east of the silt strider, and every time it took me to Vivec. I don't think Suran is split like Seyda Neen or Pelagiad though, so I don't think there's a chance to get to Molag Mar from Suran via Almsivi Intervention.--penguin0719TalkContribs 18:27, 21 October 2008 (EDT)
All of Suran goes to Vivec for Almsivi Intervention. The border to Molag Mar is Northeast of town, on the hills just outside of town near the silt strider platform. South of there, you would have to go East all the way past the hills until you are halfway to Telasero. There is also a border to the north, just before Bal Ur --Brf 16:43, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Divine Intervention[edit]

The little section connected to the silt strider is the only part that takes you to Pelagiad. The rest of Suran goes to Ebonheart. --Brf 04:02, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Where did my things go?[edit]

Guard took my things in Suran. Where are they now? Pelagiad or Ebonheart?--188.196.131.148 21:49, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

Depends on where in town you were. Suran is split down the middle between two Divine Intervention zones. The northern half is connected to Pelagiad and the southern half to Ebonheart. The way you can usually tell is to go back to where you were caught by the guard and cast Divine Intervention, and that'll usually take you to the right fort. --TheRealLurlock Talk 05:23, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Wrong directions - German version problem?[edit]

When I ask commoners in Suran for a short hint (or how it's called) I often get wrong directions to the Fields of Kummu, saying it was a nice little stroll to the southeast. Is that a general bug or maybe it's only in the German version? --95.90.239.168 01:22, 11 November 2019 (GMT)
