Key to Maps
Map of Kemen Exterior
  • The exterior is located at coordinates: Tamriel 34, 23
  • This location's map marker (M on map) is named Kemen (editor name KemenMapMarker). The entrance door is E of the marker, 50 feet away.
  • 2 Wilderness Creatures (Mountains variety) are near the entrance
  • The following plants can be found near the entrance: 26 Clouded Funnel Cap plants, 17 Motherwort plants, and 21 Tinder Polypore plants
  • 1 bedroll is at location b on map

Zone 1: Kemen[edit]

Kemen

Upon entry, you face two possible routes for exploring this ruin; either continue down the balcony you begin on, or jump down into one of the chambers below. Either method will eventually lead to the boss chest in Kemen Varlasel, but jumping down will grant you access to additional treasure that cannot be accessed from elsewhere in the ruin.

If you jump down, be prepared for hidden door F to open in the corridor past gate E (which can be opened by activating the switch nearby [cyan dot on map]), revealing an undead occupant(as well as a minor cask). Afterwards, in this zone's southernmost area, you can activate the stone steps (G) by activating the switch in this room (second cyan dot on map).

The southernmost room in this zone features numerous skeletons and corpses resting on slabs in the walls of this chamber. The lowest corpses are lootable. Also positioned near the corpses are two static pieces of loot; a set of fifteen silver arrows and an Elven Long Sword Replica (pretty, but worthless). All of this dungeon's Welkynd stones are also located in this room, poised on their respective pedestals or on the floor nearby.

Occupants:

Treasure:

Doors and Gates:

  • There are three doors in/out of this zone
  • 1 Hidden Door at F
  • 1 Iron Gate (opened remotely) at E

Other:

  • 1 Stone Steps (rise to form steps when activated) at location G on map

Zone 2: Kemen Varlasel[edit]

Kemen Varlasel

How you explore Kemen's Hall of Stars depends on where you entered. Entering from door C forces you to backtrack after looting the boss Ayleid coffer (B) in this zone. Entering from door D, meanwhile, leads you onto a small balcony in the room containing the boss chest. If you jump off the balcony into the room, however, you will have to use door C to exit the zone.

Hidden door G opens whenever you open gate H, releasing a zombie and granting access to a minor chest. The room containing the Varla Stones (easternmost room in zone) also contains four gas traps (marked as F) surrounding the Varla Stones. The chamber south of door C has three sets of blade traps that can prove deadly - if you entered from door D, you can drop down onto the lower floor to avoid the blades (however, there are two enemies located down here).

Occupants:

Treasure:

Traps:

  • 6 Falling Blade traps at locations E on map
  • 4 Gas traps at F, activated by raising the Varla Stone cages

Doors and Gates:

  • There are two doors (at C and D) in/out of this zone, both leading to the zone Kemen
  • 1 Hidden Door at G
  • 1 Iron Gate (opened remotely) at H
