Travelers through Aleswell[edit]

A funny quirk if you haven't finished the quest is that other NPCs traveling through Aleswell will stop and talk with the invisible habitants of Aleswell. If you're not close enough to see the invisibility effect it will look as though the NPC just stops during their travel for no reason, and then will start a dialog with thin air. --Shalley303 05:09, 24 February 2008 (EST)

Ancotar[edit]

I was wondering if Ancotar should be included in the list of residents; though he's not actually in the village, he's very close by and involved in its quest. I can see the argument to the contrary, "if we include Ancotar, then Tooth-In-The-Sea should be listed as a Bravil resident, Bralsa Andaren in Chorrol" etc etc but I thought it was at least worth consideration. --Vometia 15:42, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

I think he's not included because he does not actually live in the Alsewell cell. -DevotedInsanity 16:30, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
I'd rather not have him listed as a resident, simply because he resides in Fort Caractacus, which isn't part of Aleswell. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 17:26, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
True. I guess it just depends on what one is looking for at the time; I can see it from both angles, and I'm not sure it's possible to satisfy both at once, at least not without over-complicating things (for example, off the top of my head I might've suggested an "associated NPCs" section, but I'm not entirely convinced that it would clarify matters in the long run; quite the contrary, most likely). Personally I would lean in favour of including him since I find myself tending towards finding a wider radius more useful, but I won't add him against consensus. --Vometia 23:09, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
I don't think he should be included as an Aleswell resident. He lives in the nearby Fort (where his presence is already described) and he is not part of the Aleswell Faction. The Aleswell page could use some cleanup, though - and perhaps Ancotar's experiments could be mentioned somewhere in the intro instead of the kindda misleading "ghost"-story. --Krusty 10:41, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

The center of the town?[edit]

where is it anyway? I've tried alot of places but i cant find it — Unsigned comment by DarthMikael (talkcontribs) at 07:06 on 4 July 2010

I read you question on the quest page as well, and all I can say is that I've always made it work from the middle of the vegetable garden, the one where you will find Shagol gro-Bumph. Save your game, equip the ring and use the spell from there. It should work. --Krusty 08:18, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
where exactly is the middle of it? i've tried everywhere but nothing— Unsigned comment by DarthMikael (talkcontribs) at 15:06 on 4 July 2010
You don't need to find the exact spot. Using the scroll in the vegetable patch, like Krusty said, should work. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 16:04, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
then my game is bugged cause nothing happens *sighs* bull dust — Unsigned comment by DarthMikael (talkcontribs) on 6 July 2010

Pun on the name[edit]

Someone might want to mention in the Notes that the name is a pun on "All is well." Bethesda has a reputation for sticking in foreshadowing titles and playing puns on names. --75.158.106.35 11:49, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
