Staff of Charm[edit]

This doesn't seem to be in the construction set, and I can't find it on his body if I kill him. Could this be a mod? Has anybody else seen this staff? --RpehTalk 15:29, 15 July 2007 (EDT)

How is the Staff of Charm related to the Blue Team Gladiator? --Rigas Papadopoulos 14:45, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Please can you look at the date of a comment before replying to it? This was made over three years ago and refers to this edit, and this one. Replying to such old topics isn't usually a good idea because, as in this case, they're usually well out of date. rpeh •TCE 15:15, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
I did not noticed the date. I will not answer to such old questions again. --Rigas Papadopoulos 10:17, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

Class[edit]

Is this NPCs class (ArenaCombatantHeavy) correct? It's also listed as the class for the Yellow Team Champion, but this class is not listed in the class list, unlike the Gray Prince's. --Gaebrial 06:01, 30 May 2008 (EDT)

The class was correct, but inconsistent with the naming used on all other NPC pages. "ArenaCombatantHeavy" is the EditorID for the class, but the NPC Classes page and all of the NPC pages (and therefore all of the other categories) use the class name, not the ID. --NepheleTalk 23:14, 3 June 2008 (EDT)

Essential?[edit]

I may be misreading this (probable) but in the essential box, it says "never" and yet he is listed in the essential page... I am pretty sure this page is wrong.Drake3555 20:54, 3 June 2008 (EDT)

Umm, now you have me confused. It's correct that this NPC is never essential. The only real problem as far as I can tell with this page was that the page explicitly stated that he's never essential; for almost all other non-essential NPCs the information is just skipped instead of being specified. But I can't see him listed anywhere on Essential NPCs (even in previous versions of the page).
So, I've "fixed" this page by removing the unnecessary (but correct) information that he's never essential. But I'm not sure where the real fix is needed, to remove the incorrect information that he's essential. If that makes any sense.... --NepheleTalk 23:24, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
You understood me correctly and I am truly sorry for confusing s many people in the short time I have been contributing--Drake3555 19:24, 15 June 2008 (EDT)

White skin[edit]

How come hes a dark elf but has white skin??? — Unsigned comment by 80.162.39.216 (talk) on 30 December 2008

Several Dunmer have light skin. Nothing unusual there. Plus in this case the lighting makes him look lighter than he is. –RpehTCE 03:15, 1 January 2009 (EST)

Using Staves[edit]

(moved from the article)
  • If you drop a staff near him and leave the arena for 24 hours, he will eventually pick up the staff. This is not advised as it will take over from his bow and arrow, so you can no longer pick them up. Also, it is worth noting that even with a weak staff, e.g. Goblin Shaman Staff, he will never cast a spell.
I moved this because several attempts have failed to replicate the behavior described. Dropping weak staves or strong staves; dropping them in groups or one at a time: nothing gets him to pick one up. Moreover, there's nothing in his AI that should cause him to pick one up. It seems to me we have a cell reset problem of some kind going on rather than one of the Bloodworks' NPCs picking something up. –RpehTCE 12:59, 15 March 2009 (EDT)

Heavy Armor?[edit]

Why is he listed as using heavy armor when he wears a light raiment? I pickpocketed it from him myself, so I'm sure. :D — Unsigned comment by 98.28.159.122 (talk) on 26 July 2010

That's his character class. It's just the way it is. rpeh •TCE 21:51, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

arrows[edit]

when he picks up the arrows at the range after shooting it do they get added to his inventory? and if so is it possible for him to become over burdened? (Eddie the head 16:24, 18 January 2011 (UTC))

Help![edit]

Could anyone tell me how to make a Dark elf's skin like his??? I reeeeaaaaally want to know!! — Unsigned comment by 24.183.202.230 (talk) at 00:49 on 10 April 2011

Character creation? If you can't get it right, you could mod the default character in the CS to look similar to this NPC and then make your facial/hair changes in-game. I'm not sure if it would have any negative side effects, so make sure you don't make any permanent changes to the .esm file. Legoless 00:01, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
Well, see... I have the X360 version, and I'm a mod-free gamer. Could anyone give me a link to a player build or something for a white-skinned dark elf? — Unsigned comment by 24.183.202.230 (talk) at 00:12 on 11 April 2011
There are none. If you can't do it in character creation, it can't be done. This NPC's skin colour was obviously turned overly-yellow by the devs. Legoless 23:16, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Arrow Supply[edit]

How many arrows does he have? I was wondering because he seems to never run out. Plus, he took some of my Daedric arrows when I was practicing and wanted him to fire them so I can retrieve them. Oh, and does his bow ever break? 02:41, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Lucien LachanceDB

Very late response I know, yes the bow can break but it takes a long long time, also when it does he drops it so you can pick it up and repair it for him, then drop it and he should pick it back up and continue... though I wonder if he can be made to use other weapons if you drop something other than the bow in front of him after it is broken... — Unsigned comment by 107.167.108.72 (talk) at 22:16 on 27 June 2018

Dropping the Bow[edit]

I'm new to the game (late, I know!) but I wanted to mention that today I saw the Blue Gladiator drop his bow, completely took me by surprise... I was collecting arrows when I suddenly saw him switch to the hand-to-hand fighting stance - and his Steel Bow appeared at his feet. Picking it up wasn't stealing, and it was broken (0 durability). I have no mods other than the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. So it appears that he will drop the bow once he uses it long enough to break it. I dropped my inferior Iron Bow at his feet, he picked it up, and immediately resumed shooting Iron Arrows like normal. 76.177.42.68 09:00, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

You're right, but this happens with any NPC when their weapon breaks, which means it's not really notable in this case. rpeh •TCE 09:27, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
