Yellow tick while sleeping[edit]

i have tested it by sleeping in the bed for six days, but not a sign from yellow tick to be found, so if no one protest whitin three days, i'm going to delete the note reading: "Unconfirmed, but according to Construction Set the bed in the first room upstairs has a script that may cause a contraction of Yellowtick upon sleeping." acording to my view, it says in the construction set that it sets the chance at 0 - posted by Diegro(not a member). — Unsigned comment by 81.206.88.210 (talk) at 12:14 on 18 July 2007 (UTC)

The script in the construction set, BedDiseaseSCRIPT, does not set the chance to 0. Based on the script, there is a 20% of chance of the player contracting yellow tick while sleeping. The only "0" part is after the player has already been given yellow tick to stop the game engine from doing that action over and over again. But the next time the player activates the bed ("begin OnActivate") the random number is reset.
I haven't checked this script in game, yet, but I'd say more testing needs to be done to figure out exactly what is happening with it. --NepheleTalk 12:51, 18 July 2007 (EDT)

I'm guessing you were probably trying to sleep in the wrong bed. It's not the rental bed but the bed in the first room, which is owned by a NPC so normally it can't be slept in. However, using the console I confirmed that if you do sleep in the bed with the script, you can catch Yellow Tick (even as an Altmer with 75% resist disease). So the script really does exist and work. --NepheleTalk 23:19, 30 July 2007 (EDT)
