Curing NPCs[edit]

Is it possible to cast a version of this spell on touch, to cure a beggar of their disease? (Or other NPC's?) --Scxe 11:55, 29 February 2008 (EST)

There is no reason why this shouldn't be possible, but unless you're planning on attacking any beggars, there is really no point, as you won't contract the disease anyway. --HMSVictory 12:11, 29 February 2008 (EST)

Chapels Fail to Cure Disease[edit]

(Following moved here from Oblivion:Glitches/Proposed)

This is one I would have to reinstall Oblivion to even attempt to reproduce. My character contracted Astral Vapors from a zombie and visiting the chapel in Anvil failed to cure it. Now, for every character created on the system no chapel or wayshrine will cure any disease whatsoever. They all still have all of their other healing effects. The game was unpatched and no mods were installed at the time this began, but it has since been patched with 1.1.511 to no effect.

-To fix this glitch, delete the oblivion folder from your memory. That means it and every save, and download off of your hard drive. Then, go back and patch the game and start anew.

I would try making or buying a 'Cure Disease' potion and consuming it before I go through all of that trouble.169.145.3.13 16:45, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
If above fails to work, before you delete everything, make a backup on a separate hard drive, preferably an external one.

PROBLEM[edit]

I ran into a Will-O-Wisp and i were infected by some rare disease, it stopping my mana (blue line) from regaining. soo how do i get rid of it?— Unsigned comment by Fexars (talkcontribs) on 17 December 2009

Actually your first post was right, the dread zombie carries the disease Astral Vapors which includes the nasty effect of Stunted Magicka. You can drink a potion of cure disease, cast a cure disease spell or pray at a chapel altar to cure it. --MC S'drassa T2M 15:34, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

ah tyvmfor your help, and btw is there a way i can become the new ruler of Cyrodil ? — Unsigned comment by Fexars (talkcontribs) on 17 December 2009

Not sure what you mean by "ruler". If you mean Emperor then no, the best rank you can get is Champion of Cyrodiil once you complete the main quest. --MC S'drassa T2M 16:26, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

kk tyvm for the help (yeah i allready am the champ :D) (hint to get ebony longsword) seek out Fort Cedrian) ( have to be atleast 30 i think) — Unsigned comment by 79.160.60.116 (talk) on 17 December 2009

Help[edit]

So does taking a Cure Deisies Potion cure Vampirism??? 65.87.153.78 16:58, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

If you were bitten by a vampire, and drink a cure diesease potion straight away, it will cure vampirism. However, if you contract vampires diesease and then sleep, you will have to do the Vampire Cure quest. Kitkat1749 17:20, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
