Imperial City?[edit]

Does this guy ever visit the Imperial City? On the Inns page it says he is a regular at Luther Broad's boariding house, but his article makes no mention of it. — Unsigned comment by 68.163.38.222 (talk)

Yeah that doesn't seem likely, does it. I don't believe he ever leaves the shop. –RpehTCE 16:52, 14 February 2008 (EST)

Dialogue?[edit]

Does anyone have his dialogue, specifically his description of the 'archers paradox'-— Unsigned comment by 124.168.42.226 (talk)

"The Archer's Paradox. Because a perfect arrow flies forever, and that's impossible. I'm Daenlin, and I have no perfect arrows." –RpehTCE 12:15, 15 July 2008 (EDT)
Brilliant!!! Been looking for that, thanks for the speedy reply

Sudden NPC Death[edit]

Wondering if anyone else has encountered this with Daenlin: I'm doing the Assassin quests ("Matter of Honor," where the Dunmer I'm to kill spends one day a week in Bravil at the Lonely Suitor). I was loitering around the second floor of the Suitor planning my next move, when I heard combat from downstairs. I rush down, but it's all over: Daenlin is on the floor dead. The only other NPCs in the room are the innkeeper and the fence (both of whom are behind the counter) and the orc gro-Dragol. I'm guessing that for some reason, gro-Dragol killed Daenlin for no good reason! Has anybody else seen Daenlin get killed in a random pub fight? — Unsigned comment by 76.170.101.213 (talk)

Yeah, this happenned to me, but not in the way you described. I was upstairs talking to gro-Dragol and Daenlin runs upstairs, knife drawn, and attacks gro-Dragol. I watched this fight with horror because gro-Dragol is a quest character that i was working for, but he was not an essential npc, and could die, and was losing, so I threw a fireball at Daenlin and he screamed "I am on your side!" which i don't get. gro-Dragol got one more good hit on him and Daenlin screamed "Don't kill me!" and ran out of the inn and toward a guard who pulled out a bow and arrow and ended his life. *chuckle*. Same thing just happened to me on xbox 360 gotye - and then the guard killed gro-Dragol. --93.96.134.21 12:08, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Anybody know why this happens? IWon'tFightUndead 08:32, 15 November 2008 (EST)
I can't be sure if that's what's causing it, but Kurdan gro-Dragol is marked as Evil and has no factions in common with Daenlin, so my guess is that when Daenlin comes in to eat dinner, if he happens to see gro-Dragol, he's attacking him. Daenlin's aggression is only set to 5 as is gro-Dragol's, so in theory they shouldn't attack each other as I understand it, but perhaps something's modifying that aggression at some point that I missed, or the fact that gro-Dragol is evil is playing into it somehow. I'm not really sure waht all can affect these things. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 20:48, 26 November 2008 (EST)
Daenlin seems to be dead in my game as well. It may have been the orc that killed him for me, too, since I do remember the orc getting into a bar fight and then dying (prematurely ending my quest to find that lady's husband). This sucks, since I really want to buy stuff from him. Does anyone know how to resurrect him? I've tried "moveto 0000A11C", which teleports me to just outside the Castle Bravil Great Hall door (Bravil side). I don't see him, so I tried "prid 0000A11C" followed by "enable" and "resurrect" but nothing happens. --Radix 14:43, 24 January 2009 (EST)
Try another enable after that lot and stick a moveto player on the end too. You might even have to save the game and reload it. –RpehTCE 02:58, 25 January 2009 (EST)
Yes, happened to me too. Kurdan will attack both Nordinor and Daenlin. Both are wood elfs and merchants. Now go figure what the hell happens there. I looked in the TES, but can't find out what's causing this bug. Nordinor is set as essential, but Daenlin is not. Also, if one of them runs away into the street, Kurdan will follow them, will be killed by guards and the Kurdan quest is over. Just great! WRFan 14:02, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
Tried lowering Kurdan's aggression to 0. First, everything was normal. Nordinor entered the building and Kurdan wouldn't attack him on sight like before. In fact, they were peacefully talking to each other. All of a sudden, right in the middle of the conversation, Kurdan pulls his hammer and hits Nordinor! I give up. I am completely out of ideas. What the hell happens? WRFan 07:52, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

I think Danlin is dead, because the shop has never opened, and I have not seen him hunting. I am on the PS3, so the console is out of the question. (When I install this on e PC, I'll be able to do something about it.). Is there a way to check to see if he's dead in any way?

Conflict with weekly huntings[edit]

Well, the page states that he hunts for deer... but since he is in the Bravil faction, he gets a plus 50 disposition with them. So does he and Lemonds just wait for hostile animals to come their way?--Arch-Mage MattTalk 01:24, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
