Deleted Text[edit]

When you first approach Dive Rock you may witness a Camonna Tong Thug walk of the tip and effectively commit suicide. On his body was some nice enchanted glass armour (Greaves of Poise) and 300+ gold (at least for my level 23 character).

Has anyone else seen this happen? I've never seen the Camonna Tong thugs from Walker Camp anywhere near Dive Rock; their AI scripts don't ever send them there. It sounds more like a very rare occurrence (aka story of a single person's experience), which doesn't belong on a wiki page. And the armor would definitely be randomly generated loot. --Nephele 02:03, 11 January 2007 (EST)

When I was at Dive Rock, I saw one of the Camonna Tong Thugs as well, although he did not fall off and die. I don't think that he is always there though, so it shouldn't be included on the page. User:Dio 225 26 March 2007

I never saw him at DIve rock, but i saw him at Aerin's Camp, right under dive rock. — Unsigned comment by Lucky the Cat Guy (talkcontribs) on 6 August 2008
This happened to me! But, I fast-traveled to the Dive Rock after talking to the thugs at their camp. As a result, one of them was with me. He stood around, and I didn't mess with him because I was going to fight the Matron. I lured her toward Dive Rock, and the thug attacked her. We killed her quickly, and then the poor fool turned, presumably walking to his camp. It was an unsuccessful attempt, of course. xoxo Coryl 27 November 2008

Darwin Award[edit]

(Comment moved from user talk page)
Although the Darwin Award comment was amusing, it's irrelevant and inaccurate. If Andre had a daughter, then he's not a possible Darwin Award winner. Sorry :( — Unsigned comment by 121.45.224.6 (talk)

Actually, the "official" Darwin Awards have given plenty of awards to people who have already procreated, even people with grand-kids. --TheRealLurlock Talk 12:30, 1 April 2007 (EDT)
I just read the full explanation on their page and I see your point. I think the article reads better without the DA reference though.

Someone Else[edit]

Jumping from Dive Rock, I noticed another (possible) casualty- a Dark Elf with a name I don't recall (though it was in three parts, and the last made me think of 'Tom Thumb'). He didn't have anything of interest on him when I descended more slowly (albeit uncontrollably). Is he usually there? Or is this one of those unpredictable instances of NPCs getting themselves in trouble? --77.99.30.52 15:55, 27 April 2007 (EDT)

Urgh, Should've read first: he was one of those thugs mentioned further up. --77.99.30.52 15:56, 27 April 2007 (EDT)

Safe storage?[edit]

Is it safe to use Angar's and Svenja's supplies-sack as a storage? --Neekerisanni123 16:01, 25 April 2009 (EDT)

Yes. It doesn't respawn. –RpehTCE 06:50, 30 April 2009 (EDT)

Good,I planned to use it as a "house". --Neekerisanni123 07:07, 30 April 2009 (EDT)

If you have Shivering Isles, Fain the ruin has a larger drop, but in the normal game, yes. Dive rock is the highest jump.--Arch-Mage MattTalk 22:49, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
thanks! but if you don't mind could you give me a scale like is dive rock half the size of fain i can't cheack it out cause my game's getting resurfestGUM!!! 00:01, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Fain is 17,400 units deep; Dive Rock is roughly 14,700 units deep--Arch-Mage MattTalk 00:03, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
ok thnks!GUM!!! 00:09, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
hello agian sorry to bug you but is forstcraig spire higher?GUM!!! 13:51, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Thats impossible, Ive paralysed myself to fall off frostcrag spire and i survived. I jumped off the Spire and survived. I jumped off dive rock and i SO DID NOT SURVIVE!
The top teleporter in Frostcrag Spire has a z coord of 42404. The tent on Dive rock is at 33951. But the drop is larger at Dive Rock. rpeh •TCE 11:33, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
ok thanks!--GUM!!! 18:26, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

() You know, I wonder how much damage this fall actually does (when jumping from the farthest point and landing on flat ground). I got to a point where I could survive it though it took fortify health enchants on all my armor, the Boots of Springheel Jak, and 100 acrobatics. --BlackhawkXIII (talk) 05:35, 21 January 2013 (GMT)

I think you were reading Frostcraig spires page wrong it says HIGHEST ALTITUDE ALCHEMY GARDEN. I may be wrong as Dive Rock is a pretty long fall(other than Fain of course Dunehelm (talk) 04:47, 21 August 2013 (GMT)

Agnar's Journal and the guy north of Aerin's camp[edit]

I can't open the journal and the guy that's supposed to be north of Aerin's camp is not there. Any suggestions?

The hiker disappears 3 days after you first go to Aerin's Camp.--Corevette789 15:55, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Does it ever stop snowing?[edit]

I've been waiting and sleeping at the campsite at Dive Rock to get a look at the view over the valley, but it's always snowing, which has cast a perpetual fog over any surface level below Dive Rock's, rendering such a view impossible. I've got all the "distant grass/trees/Norwegian Fish-on-a-Stick Vendors" settings set to maximum, but I still can't see a thing. Predcon 02:01, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

There's only a 25% chance of snow in the Jerall Mountains, so you're just unlucky. rpeh •TCE 07:07, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
I went all the way back to Battlehorn, slept for 72 hours, and went back, and lo and behold, starry night. Problem solved. Predcon 02:27, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Removed Section "Why is Dive Rock Infamous"[edit]

I removed that section after noticing that it was a primary target for nonsensical edits to this page, indeed going through this page's history reveals that that section pretty much only existed to note that the Adoring Fan is often killed here. More importantly the section boiled down too "The Adoring Fan can die here if he falls!" Though it is true that there are quite a number of Youtube videos showing the Adoring Fan getting offed here (Kinda creepy how many of those videos there are really), besides that I don't see how this is important to note. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 05:48, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

law of fives?[edit]

the loot seems to hold a lot of 2-3 and 5 combinations, anyone else spot that? — Unsigned comment by 81.158.159.94 (talk) at 20:47 on 9 January 2016 (UTC)
