Future Expansions

For discussion of the rumored Dragonfire Castle see: Oblivion talk:Fighter's_Stronghold.

From On The XBox (15 March 2007):

OTX: Is Bethesda planning any downloadable content after the release of Shivering Isles? Another expansion?
Bruce Nesmith (Bethesda Director of Design): We might do one or two more DLC things like the ones we’ve done before, but we don’t have any more plans for any other expansions or DLC beyond that.

Note that there is no confirmation of any particular mod, nor is it even certain that any further DLC will be made available. --Wrye

Game of the Year

Bethesda has officialy announced that they will release a Game of the Year edition of Oblvion in September. No word if the other DLCs will be included. --Sheogorath

It has ben confirmed on the Elder Scrolls Official Website that KotN and SI will be include. No word on smaller content, though.12.210.228.164 19:55, 23 July 2007 (EDT)
In Pete Hines February interview there was some discussion of package releases and DLC mods. Pete's concern about the home style DLC mods was that they gave a starting player too much for free (vs. ordinary game where you have to work pretty hard to get a house), and thus broke game flow -- for this reason, Bethsoft did not want to include them in a single package. Contrary to this, KOTN and SI fit in easily with a starting game, and hence it makes sense to include them. But by this reasoning, one would think that Horse Armor, Orrery and Mehrunes Razor would also fit in reasoanbly well -- yet there's no indication that they'll be released as part of GOTY. It's possible that these are being saved so that there's a reasonable set of potential DLC rather than just the house mods.
In any case, I'm fairly sure that Bethsoft will let people know if they're going to add additional content to GOTY -- since that would make it more valuable/desirable. --Wrye 21:11, 23 July 2007 (EDT)
Doesn't the original PS3 version already have Knights of the Nine? Or is it in regards to something else? - Some Random Person Obsessed with Oblivion
Yes it does. This it just making it clear that the GOTY edition contains both KoTN and SI. It definitely doesn't contain the DLC mods though. --RpehTalk 03:40, 11 September 2007 (EDT)

Oh, I see; thanks for clarifying. - SRPOwO

So that is why they weren't included in the goty edition, I feel ripped off, they could have at least added the content and placed high prices on the houses, My service provider won't work with my 360 so I can't purchase those stupid downloads on the internet.Superinsomniac 22:24, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

Why is it that the PS3 version of Oblivion not have the other plug-ins(Fighter's Stronghold; Imperial Orrery; etc.)? I have played through the entire story line of SI, KotN, and main quest, attained highest rank of every faction and completed all known quests. Why not have the plug-ins placed, but slightly modified so as to make them more challenging, seeing as they can be attained for both Xbox360 and PC, but not PS3? Incompatability with Windows x64 and Vista

Added by Gerdofal 12:06, 8 October 2007 (EDT)

Here is the stock reply Bethesda is giving for incompatability issues:

Hello,

You may receive a Secure Loader error message or encounter other issues when attempting to install the plugins on Windows XP 64-bit or Windows Vista. The downloadable plugin installers are not compatible with Windows XP 64-bit or Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit). However, you can purchase the CD version of Knights of the Nine, which includes the Knights of the Nine Expansion for Oblivion, along with all the currently available plugins, and they will successfully install in Windows XP 64-bit.

You can purchase Knights of the Nine at https://orders.bethsoft.com/store/, or at many local retailers.

If you have Windows XP 64-bit, or Windows Vista, and have just purchased the installers, please reply with your order id so we can process a credit. (NOTE: If you purchased the plugins when you had XP, and have upgraded to Vista, no refund is available).

Umm... I have Vista, and Fighter's Stronghold works fine for me. Maybe that's an exception...
Fighter's Stronghold is newer, and they may have worked around it in that one. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 02:34, 27 June 2008 (EDT)

Actually if you download some free decompression software (I use UniExtract) and use it on the mod then you will be able to access all the data files, decompress the CAB folders and place them in your oblivion data folder and install them like any other mod. I have Vista and most official mods and this worked for me so best of luck! — Unsigned comment by The GOTY master (talkcontribs) at 15:32 on 17 September 2008

That solution is already on the main page. (I know, I'm the one who figured it out and put it there! <grin>) --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 01:14, 18 September 2008 (EDT)

Battlehorn Castle

ok - first we need to actually make a Battlehorn Castle page, second make a link to it and third... - is there any news as to whether this will be able to install on Windows Vista since the others didn't work on the site but did in the Knights of the nine boxset i just thought maybe they would update it and allow installation of this mod because i think it looks really cool! Wolf wanna-be 12:49, 11 October 2007 (EDT)

Nope, no news yet. I'm planning to download it and see :) As for all the other stuff, isn't there already a page under the old name? --Gerdofal 11:20, 11 October 2007 (EDT)
For the moment the discussion is at Oblivion:Dragonfire Castle and its talk page Dragonfire Castle. In fact I've just put redirects in place. Once the mod is out and we can play it we'll start to get a feel for how big it is and what kind of organisation the pages need. I don't know about Vista- or 64-bit-compatibility (I sincerely hope for the latter at least!) but those things will go on as soon as there's information. --RpehTCE 11:24, 11 October 2007 (EDT)
Hmm, it seems like it'd be more appropriate to delete the Battlehorn Castle pages, and move the Dragonfire Castle pages in their place, leaving a redirect going the other way. Unless we want to keep Dragonfire Castle where it is for historic purposes? Seems kind of unnecessary, though. --TheRealLurlock Talk 13:41, 11 October 2007 (EDT)
We're just waiting to find out what the real name is. Not sure yet if it's "Battlehorn Castle" or "Fighter's Stronghold". --Wrye 16:23, 11 October 2007 (EDT)
Probably both, just like Wizard's Tower/Frostcrag Spire and Thieves Den/Dunbarrow Cove. Following that pattern, the page would belong at Battlehorn Castle with Fighter's Stronghold as a redirect. But yeah, we'll have to wait and see. --TheRealLurlock Talk 17:01, 11 October 2007 (EDT)
Sounds good to me. --Wrye 17:10, 11 October 2007 (EDT)
Ok, now its out an anyone confirm if it works on Windows 64bit or Vista? Wolf wanna-be 10:19, 15 October 2007 (EDT)
Nevermind, i can confirm that it works on Vista Wolf wanna-be 10:02, 16 October 2007 (EDT)
The installer does not work in Vista though (and DLC6 is not on the KOTN CD, of course) --Keelhaul 17:35, 28 January 2008 (EST)

Problem

Ok, I don't know when I'll be back to check on this, but maybe someone can help... I have downloaded all of the official mods, but my internet was recently disconnected. I have checked my 360 hard drive and verified that the add-ons are there. When I start the game, the official mods do not load, and on the options menu, "downloads" is grayed out and un-clickable. The downloads are on my hard drive, so I don't understand why I would need internet access to use them. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I'll try to make it back to the library in a couple of days to see if anyone had any ideas. I miss y'all, and I hope to get internet back on at home soon. --GuildKnightTalk2me 18:19, 18 March 2008 (EDT)

I know for sure that I first played Knights of the Nine on my Xbox 360 when it was offline (back when you were busy creating all those KotN pages, a long long time ago!). The only problem I had at the time was that being offline the Xbox lost the ability to figure out the date (yeah, I thought computers figured out ways around that a long time ago ;) ), so all my save games had really strange creation dates, and therefore ended up at the bottom of my list of save games instead of the top. But it was definitely possible to use downloaded content without internet access.
Still, if I get a chance over the next day or so I'll do some more tests at my end and see what happens now if I disconnect... --NepheleTalk 01:20, 19 March 2008 (EDT)

This problem has been plaguing me for awhile I hope someone can help. I recently bought Oblivion GOTY edition for my Xbox 360, so I put disc 2 in so it could download KOTN and SI onto my harddrive, and it worked...kind of. It says that they are both there but neither of them will work. On the options menu the "downloads" option is greyed out and no achievements appear, I do not have an internet connection for my Xbox 360 either so I don't know what to do any help will be appreciated.

I've got a similar problem on my 360. Downloaded some mods, then reinstalled Oblivion and found that the downloaded mods no longer work. Deleted them, reinstalled them... but still nothing. Anyone got any idea what's going on? Or even better... how to fix it?? Major Tom 10:42, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

DLC is tied to both the original console and gamertag used to download them and it needs at least 1 of them to be active in order to initialize. My guess is that each of you guys have gotten a new console since you first downloaded the DLC. In that case, the gamertag used to download the DLC must be signed onto Live in order to access the DLC. To get around this you will need to transfer the DLC licenses from your old console to your new one. See here for more information. --12.107.122.230 14:04, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

F**king Microsoft bastards. Yeah looks like you're right, I've not changed my console but even getting it repaired can make xbox live think it's a new console it seems. Christ Almighty it's like being in school with Microsoft teachers who think you're the bad kid. Cheers for the advice though, I will play the Vile Lair one of these days.Major Tom 10:08, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Sounds familiar, "I recently bought Oblivion GOTY edition for my Xbox 360, so I put disc 2 in so it could download KOTN and SI onto my harddrive, and it worked...kind of." The main problem for me is, for the DLC to initialize, I have to delete all my saves and start over. How I got this message was I was signed out until I pressed the start button. And it said, "DLC will not be initialized" or something to that effect if I didn't start over. So what I did was started over (on a new save)and saw if it worked that way, then loaded an old save to see if I could still get it and it failed. So is there anyway I can initialize the DLC without having to start completely over?Sadhow 9:50, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Possible Solution for Vista/64-Bit XP Problem

I've added a new section to the main page on the Aladdin HASP SL Runtime error that plagues Windows Vista and 64-bit Windows XP users. This problem occurred to me on a 32-bit Windows XP system, but with Vista installed as the primary OS (and therefore the Vista boot-loader). If anyone has 64-Bit Windows XP, can you please test to see if the solution works? For Vista, I will attempt an installation tomorrow from my Vista partition if nobody else has responded to this sooner. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 02:41, 27 June 2008 (EDT)

A quick test under Vista reveals that while the installation proceeds further in Safe Mode, it still will not complete. I will attempt further tests and workarounds as time permits. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 13:00, 27 June 2008 (EDT)
I've found a couple of different solutions to this problem; I'll publish them on the main page shortly. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 17:42, 27 June 2008 (EDT)

Gamescore

Can I use my gamscore to purchase the mods on xbox live? 119.95.147.255 23:16, 25 July 2008 (EDT)

No. Gamerscore is not money. You have to buy Microsoft Points or whatever they're called. Darkle 23:24, 25 July 2008 (EDT)

Then what the gamescore for? 119.95.147.255

mod patches stop scroll dupeing

i have said something like this somewhere in here i think but ill ask anyway. will any mods stop duplicating with scrolls? everyone i know keeps babbling on about it, can anyone prove it? (80.192.133.64 15:57, 4 August 2008 (EDT))

The duplicating with scrolls glitch is not affected by patches. It works fine for me with all official mods and patches. Darkle 16:05, 4 August 2008 (EDT)
Even with the Unofficial Oblivion Patch installed, scrolls still duplicate almost all items. –RpehTCE 05:55, 5 August 2008 (EDT)

"Mods" or "Plug-ins" (or "Plugins", or "Downloads", or "Downloadable Content", etc. )?

Just wondering if maybe this page should be moved to [[Oblivion:Downloads|Oblivion:Official Plug-ins]] instead. The Morrowind equivalent is at Morrowind:Official Plug-ins, so it would be more consistant that way. As for why Plug-ins and not Mods, I've seen a few people who don't agree with the use of the word "Mod", while I haven't seen any objections to the word "Plug-in". For what it's worth, Bethesda uses the term "Plugins" relating to Morrowind: [1], though neither term is used for Oblivion; they refer to them as "Downloads" or "Downloadable Content": [2]. One term that doesn't seem to exist in ANY Bethesda source is "Mods". In either case, I think that both (or possibly all five) terms should at least be redirects to the proper page, making it easier to find. --TheRealLurlock Talk 11:43, 7 August 2008 (EDT)

You are quite right. Actually, Bethesda does refer to them as "Official Oblivion Plug-Ins" on their site, under Downloads -> Plugins. I agree that we should use a title like Oblivion:Official Plug-Ins. What kind of redirects would we need? Some examples:
  • Oblivion:Official Mods
  • Oblivion:Official Plugins
  • Oblivion:Official Plug-ins
  • Oblivion:Downloadable Content
  • Oblivion:Downloads.
More suggestions? --Timenn < talk > 15:31, 22 September 2008 (EDT)
Well, I've done the move and changed most of the links in major locations, but there's still a few hundred links to the old page that should be fixed. The redirect will of course remain in place, so it's not extremely vital that the links be fixed, but just for consistancy's sake, we'll probably want to do the rest at some point. (Maybe somebody with a bot could handle this task?) --TheRealLurlock Talk 15:42, 28 September 2008 (EDT)

Is it worth it?

Is it worth trading in my GotYE PS3 Oblivion so i can have the GotYE on the PC, i mean, are the mods worth going through everything again for? — Unsigned comment by Baconator96 (talkcontribs) on 22 August 2008

I can only suggest you read the mod pages and decide for yourself. Personally, I like the mods but I know a lot of people think differently. Only you know what you will find "worth it". –RpehTCE 02:02, 22 August 2008 (EDT)

Doesn't activate at all

The plugin Fighter's Stronghold is not working on 32-bit Windows XP and just has the hourglass symbol for about a second then stops. I don't have CTFMON.EXE activated so why is this happening? 99.238.44.36 20:30, 29 August 2008 (EDT) (Helper Unknown)

Problems

What are the sizes of the plugins? I need to know so I can tell if the plugin is not broken. 99.238.44.36 14:28, 30 August 2008 (EDT)

The sizes appear on each mod page: Fighter's Stronghold, | etc - check the links on the article. –RpehTCE 14:41, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
My plugin is the right size and its Fighter's Stronghold. 99.238.44.36 15:18, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
Sooo..... what problem are you having? –RpehTCE 15:50, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
The Installer doesn't work on a 32-bit Windows XP and Windows Vista but it worked before but now all it does is do the doing something mouse symbol(hourglass for XP, spinning shape for Vista) and not work at all although it does activate, verifyed that using UAC(User Account Control) on Vista, but it doesn't install. No loading bar thing or anything else. 99.238.44.36 16:32, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
If there are issues not already covered here, you'll have to talk to Bethesda Support. –RpehTCE 17:04, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
I got it to work using Universal Extractor. 99.238.44.36 12:50, 31 August 2008 (EDT)
When I extracted the exe, the esp inside was called an invalid file and so I could not activate it when I put it in my data folder, even though I had the BSA in the data folder as well. Why is it called an invalid file? 99.238.44.36 18:58, 31 August 2008 (EDT)
What added into an Oblivion Folder that is just Oblivion patched to 1.2(something) When someone installs Fighter's Stronghold? 99.238.44.36 06:46, 1 September 2008 (EDT)
DLCBattlehornCastle.bsa (9,162,178 bytes) and DLCBattlehornCastle.esp (676,894 bytes). –RpehTCE 07:15, 1 September 2008 (EDT)
(Checking Size...) The esp is 0 bytes and the bsa is 2,133,976 (normal) 2,134,016 (on disk) on this computer but on my other computer it's the right size. I think its because there are two data folders in the Fighter's Stronghold.EXE one is not inside a .CAB and one is inside a .CAB. The .CAB is the one that is the right size. Gonna try the latter. When I drag the one in the .CAB out it changes the size and makes it not work. 99.238.44.36 08:09, 1 September 2008 (EDT)
Well, seems my only solution is to buy it,(the installer was the free week thing) 99.238.44.36 16:05, 2 September 2008 (EDT)

Future DLC

Bethesda has confirmed that Fighter's Stronghold was the last DLC for Oblivion. There will be no more releases.

However, here, Pete Hines claims they're working on something for Oblivion;

We're getting ready to do something else with Oblivion this year, because it is still selling and retailers still like it. If we weren't talking about that game, they'd only be focused on the [newer] things. But we stay on top it. I think that owes to our sales guys who stay on top of it and don't want to let it just die.

Should the article be adjusted? --LordDagonT|C 09:35, 11 April 2009 (EDT)

This is a working URL. Interesting indeed. I've added it to the article. –RpehTCE 09:49, 11 April 2009 (EDT)

Does Fighters Stronghold Come With GOTY xbox edition?

Does the Fighter's stronghold dlc come with the GOTY xbox 360 edition of oblivion?

Try the search box at the top left of the wiki... type in GOTY and press enter, and you're sent here, where it says, "The GOTY version of the game is the equivalent of the original game patched to version 1.2.1, with the addition of the Knights of the Nine plug-in and the Shivering Isles expansion. The other eight official plug-ins are not included in the GOTY edition." --GuildKnightTalk2me 23:01, 3 May 2009 (EDT)
Better yet, why not simply add it to the article that only the steam vershion includes said plugins, i got burned that way myself:(. — Unsigned comment by 80.225.48.98 (talk) on 29 December 2009
It already states on this article, "they have not been released with the GOTY edition of the game (any platform)". --GKTalk2me 21:05, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

No it dosen't, or rather it states that under the PS3 section, somwhere anyone not playing the PS3 vershion, 9and specificlly the PC vershion) WILL NOT LOOK. Which ios precisly what i did. The current statment is in com[pletly the wrong place, it needs to directly acompany the steam comment to prevent any confushion amongst any other users so that anyone reading thje team, comment is immidietly made aware that it is ONLY the steam vershion that contains it. Hence why i used bold texty. to grab immiddiate folow on attention.

Vista

Can you get the plug ins to work on vista, the article seemed to beat around the bush on that question.

The plugins work as long as Oblivion work. They're just plugins for Oblivion after all.
The plugins' installers, on the other hand, are more capricious. They work without problem on XP 32bit and Vista 32bit, but will not work on XP 64 or Vista 64. If you can't get them to work, use the Universal Extractor to extract the plugins from the installers. --Gez 13:05, 4 May 2009 (EDT)

DLC numbers and dates

I suggest adding the numbers to each plug-in (DLC1, DLC2, DLC6, etc.) and the order in which they appeared downloadable (by the date) because the number and the order in which the plug-ins were published is not the same. 88.222.53.221 16:32, 13 May 2009 (EDT)Robert

Hopefully they just need re-enabling. When you reach the loading screen, click the "Data Files" option and go through the list, ticking each checkbox, then carry on as normal. That should bring your DLCs back. –RpehTCE 07:45, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Are you using your Live profile when you are playing? I know that I had some issues when I tried to play it on other profiles on my system. --Elliot talk 23:37, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

OblivionDownloads.com is temporarily (permanently?) down for maintenance.

Though I have a copy of the GOTY Edition, which I have yet to upgrade to, I first wanted to get all the other OFFICIAL Plug-Ins. The article on the Official Plug-ins page, says you can download them, at a cost, from OblivionDownload.com. But there's a message on that site that says, "OblivionDownloads.com is temporarily down for maintenance." The frustrating thing is that it has been that way for months now, and here I am with Septims burning a hole in my pocket.

So, the questions are:

  1. Does anyone know what the story is here, and when this site might be back up and running?
  2. Is there some other place to get all the Official Plug-Ins, including Battlehorn Castle ?

--Mojodaro 23:07, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

I just noticed that someone else had mentioned this fact that the download site is down, but in the response, Eshe said you'd need to get the GOTY Edition. My understanding is that GOTY only has SI and KotN, not the other eight Official Plug-ins. I also understand that if you buy/download the separate KotN package, it includes the other plug-ins, but not Battlehorn Castle. Do I have this right? And, if so, my prior questions above still stand.
--Mojodaro 23:16, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
I'd suggest contacting Bethesda themselves about the problem. Now I know they use a different method for selling DLCs for Fallout 3, but since that is through Games for Windows Live, I'm not sure if they are doing it currently for Oblivion as well. --Timenn-<talk> 11:57, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

-I think it's down permanently, because it's been down for 1 year now and nothing's changed so the only other option to get the plug-ins is the KoTN disk, and even that doesn't have Battlehorn Castle plug-in. :(PATE KNUCKLEHEAD 20:33, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

I written only "They aren't free" instead of "They aren't free, they cost a few of dollars".

The fact that they must be "purchased" explains that they are not free. The table a little further down also details the prices. But thanks for your efforts! --GKTalk2me 21:08, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

I've read elsewhere that the difficultly level for add-on content (Battlehorn Castle, etc) is locked in based on the level of your character at the time of download. If that's the case I'm going to wait until much later in the game to purchase add-ons.

I can't locate a definitive answer anywhere; please advise?— Unsigned comment by 24.143.37.85 (talk) on 28 December 2009

Yep, every leveled character and weapon will have an adjusted level according to your character's level. But you don't need to wait to download it, you can delete it/them and when you download the plug-in(s) again, they will have their level adjusted, but that is really up to you :) --MC S'drassa T2M 19:53, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Downloaded mods actvation

OK, I posted a note about this, but someone reverted it asking for 'any reference'. The activation server for things like KOTN and the smaller stuff (horse armour etc) is down. If you bought them legally from their download site, you can no longer use them. It was down all day yesterday and when I called Bethesda (other side of the atlantic, great for my phone bill) I spent 30 minutes talking to someone there. Obviously I have no reference, it was a phonecall, but the upshot of the phone call was 'no, the activation server is down permanently'. 'No, we arent releasing a patch to allow you to install the mods without it' and when I asked where it said in the license agreement that I was just *renting* the software instead of buying it, I got literally a 60 second silence because he had no idea what to say. He said they could do a manual activation if I wanted, he would need my receipt (from 3 years ago), which lets face it, who keeps receipts for downloaded content for three years. When I asked him if he was going to refund the $25 I spent on downloaded content, again, dead air, no answer. Literally he sat there and said nothing for a good 30 seconds while I waited for an answer.

So, no, no 'attributable reference' but call them yourself, ask them about it.

It would be nice to have my edit replaced, as someone needs to provide fair warning that Bethesda has done this, and their policies on software you have legally bought are questionable. 81.100.80.75 05:29, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Elderscrolls.com says OblivionDownloads.com is temporarily down for maintenance. There might be something to this. Maybe "permanently down" meant they have to replace the physical server. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how long before Bethesda fixes this. Marcel 05:42, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
You can see this definitely isnt a new thing, the forums here report this as being the case back as far as May last year http://forums.uesp.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13180 and bethsoft forums linked from that post acknowledge its issue then and again in october last year. 81.100.80.75 09:03, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

The reason the note was removed from the main page is that this is the first time that we've heard that someone was unable to use DLC they'd already purchased. The link in the comment above this leads to another link, [3], where "Gstaff" says, "In the meantime, if you have a customer support issue with DLC you've already ordered, please shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can do to help." Hope that helps some. --GKtalk2me 19:43, 11 February 2010 (UTC) Update: [4] --GKtalk2me 20:47, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Problem Finding the Data folder

Okay, I've successfully downloaded a few mods that I wanted to add to my game, but when I try to look for the "data" folder in my Oblivion files, there is not one there. I'm not sure if I need to ADD this folder there or what (I'm sort of new to this whole thing, I was origionally a 360 player, but I got the PC version for the mods). I've tried just putting it in the general "oblivion" folder, but when I go to check it off on the data files section when you open the game, nothing is there except the full game, and Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine plugins (From the game of the year disks). The reason why I can download those plugins from the disks but not any other add-ons completely eludes me. Thanks for any help. — Unsigned comment by 9 April 2010 (talkcontribs)

Umm, it's impossible for there not to be a Data folder - otherwise you wouldn't have any video, any meshes and textures (the world would be plain, flat gray land), NPCs wouldn't talk etc... Go Computer/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion then /Data. And trust me, the folder has to be there! After that, place the .esp files (the mods) inside it and check it in the data files section of the autoplay menu. --SerCenKing Talk 14:43, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Bethesda Downloads Site

Any idea when/if the site is coming back? The article implies that it will never be coming back, but some people said that Bethesda's working on it. Besides the site, is there any way for me to get it without buying the whole game again? -DevotedInsanity 22:47, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

"Indefinite" doesn't imply "will never be coming back." Check the section above (#Downloaded mods actvation) for details. For a short answer, we have no idea. Also, for details on obtaining the plug-ins, check each plug-in's article, where the availability for each platform is listed in the infobox. --GKtalk2me 22:25, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

LIVE Connection required for DLC?

I have the Spell Tomes DLC and I could never actually find any, even on my high level Wizard character! My brother doesn't actually like using Live so he always pulls the USB aerial out and I really can't be bothered fixing it every time seeing as the only way I can replug it is to reach into a tiny little gap and make creative use of a dentistry mirror, GoTY, 360 obviously, halp? Well I'm on the PC so I can't be 100% sure, but I think the answer is "no". Spell Tomes are pretty rare. My 300-hour character has a total of 56 spell tomes (including duplicates), so they don't crop up very often. All I can say is "keep looking". rpeh •TCE 11:52, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
If the DLC was originally downloaded to a different console, it's registered to that one. To access the content with a different console, the appropriate gamertag must be logged in to Xbox Live. To access the content without being logged in to Xbox Live, you'll need to use the license transfer tool on Xbox's website. --GKtalk2me 21:17, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
