Good Use of Effect[edit]

A very effective way to utilise this effect is to make a drain health 100 pts for 1 sec spell. This won't cost a lot of magicka, nor a lot of money and will require only apprentice destruction. You can use this in the relatively low-level part of the game to instantly kill a lot of enemies, since the 100 health will not be regained once they're dead, which low level enemies usually are after suffering 100 points of health loss. — Unsigned comment by 85.144.107.189 (talk) at 14:56 on 12 June 2007‎

Effect Not Working[edit]

I bought the Minor Wound spell from Druja, and it did nothing towards the health of the opponent. And considering the opponent was a wolf, I don't think their is a feesable explanation as to why it didn't.--Kaito 01:00, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

How are you sure? The Minor Wound spell isn't exactly very strong and with a duration of only 10 seconds the effect might have expired before you landed the killing blow, in which case his health will be restored by 5 points. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 15:26, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Stacking Drain Health[edit]

Can it be stacked? If you hit an enemy with a weapon that has Drain Health 100 points for 10 seconds, then hit them again within ten seconds, will they have 100 more points drained, or does the extra hit just renew the 10 seconds? — Unsigned comment by 87.194.132.59 (talk) at 20:32 on 29 November 2009

It will just renew the 10 seconds. Unless you cast a different spell with this effect, then it will stack instead. --Timenn-<talk> 13:11, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
You can, however, effectively chain a drain health effect if the spell is coupled with a few second's worth of weakness to magic. In this case it's the weakness effect that's stacking, not the health drain.--172.242.127.184 01:12, 24 January 2014 (GMT)
