Vampirism Question[edit]

Does the Dunmer racial abilities partially counter the Vampirism Sun Damage ability? It says so on the page, but I couldn't make much sense of that. Someone please tell me? Zander 03:34, 7 October 2008 (EDT)

Sun damage is unaffected by fire resistance. The Dunmer's innate fire resistance helps to counter a vampire's weakness to fire - that's all. –RpehTCE 05:55, 7 October 2008 (EDT)

Flash of flesh?[edit]

"You Elves are all the same! All flash and no fury!" (if the combatant is not an elf)

It's says so in the last paragraph of racial unique dialogue. But flesh sounds much more logical to me than flash... Anybody else with this opinion? — Unsigned comment by 82.197.198.226 (talk) on 3 October 2010

The quote is definitely accurate and makes far more sense than it would with "flesh" instead. rpeh •TCE 15:26, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Dagail/Erenor[edit]

Shouldn't we add this as they are both siblings, but one is a Bosmer and the other one is a Dunmer. Or is that just a mistake on the developers part? — Unsigned comment by POMC S117 (talkcontribs) on 18 apr 2011

I am not sure what your question is. There is nothing concerning specific Dunmer on this page. --Brf 16:32, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
What I was saying was that it could be possible for inter-breeding, maybe. But that's speculation, thanks for answering.POMC S117 21:18, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
If you look on Dagail's page, you will see that it says:
Dagail has a brother, Eronor, who is a stablehand at Weynon Priory. The fact that he's Dunmer and she's Bosmer is somewhat unusual, though not unprecedented. The implication of this is that they have the same father but different mothers, in essence making them half-siblings. Another possibility is that Eronor was meant to be a Bosmer, like Dagail: he is one of the few Dunmer without a surname, and Bosmer generally do not have surnames. They never mention each other, though Prior Maborel will tell you that they are related: "Surprised by Eronor's uncanny way with sheep? Perhaps it would interest you to know that Eronor's sister, Dagail, in Leyawiin, is an accomplished spellcrafter.
This also has absolutely nothing to do with Dunmer in general. Also see Notes on Racial Phylogeny. --DKong27 Talk Cont 21:25, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Ok. Thanks for explaining that, I'm relatively new here. POMC S117 16:26, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Read Notes on Racial Phylogeny. Interbreeding is not unusual. --Brf 16:57, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Race Specific Dialog[edit]

This is more a general note on the style of all the race pages for Oblivion, but it's a little difficult to tell what's going on with this section on these pages. It seems as though about half of the lines are spoken by Dunmeri characters and the other half are spoken to them. I believe that it would increase the organizational efficiency of the page to break the dialog into a section for lines spoken to and another for lines spoken by Dark Elves. Otherwise, it could be removed, since it has no bearing on gameplay mechanics, plotlines, etc. 97.116.175.129 12:48, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Looking only at this page, it looks like only the In Combat section is spoken to the relevant race. Assuming the others are similar, would just adding a quick note like "(spoken to character)" be sufficient? Robin Hoodtalk 07:47, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
