Skooma Den[edit]

Deleted from article:

If the lock on the Skooma Den is not opened by the player, then Gelephor will never visit the Imperial City, as he is not in possession of a key.

Gelephor starts the game in the Market District Warehouse. So by definition he visits the Imperial City no matter what. He doesn't have a key to the Skooma Den but that just means that by default he should be locked out, not locked in. --NepheleTalk 12:56, 6 November 2007 (EST)

I agree that he would visit the Imperial City at least once since he spawns there, but in my game (XBox 360) I've never actually seen him there, because Trenus Duronius and he are always right outside the door, trying to get in the locked door while drinking something. I don't know if it's glitched, but they're always there. Quazilla 02:51, 24 June 2008 (EDT)
I'm on the xbox 360 right now and have just watched him leaving the imperial city

The fact that the NPC doesn't have a key to the Skooma den door is irrelevant. NPCs don't use keys, and there's no actual key to the Skooma Den door anyway (the inhabitants and other visitors don't have any key either). The only reason that Gelephor can't get into the Skooma Den is because he's not in the "Bravil Skooma Den faction" faction that the inhabitants are in. I personally added both Duronius and Gelephor to this faction in a clean test mod, and the result was that they both were able to enter the door (mere formality, I know, since this is all very obvious). The reason for this is because the door's ownership is set to the faction. Anyone in that faction "owns" that door and can use it (all this information I verified in the Construction Set). I believe this information should be added to the page and the stuff about not having a key deleted. However, I can't comment authoritatively on whether a lockpick would enable an NPC to enter the door regardless. It doesn't sound right to me though. I don't believe an NPC can "use" a lock pick like the Player Character can. 76.180.222.84 07:13, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

OK, I've updated the page with the "faction" information. 76.180.222.84 07:28, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
