Is Herminia Cinna a quest item?[edit]

If Herminia Cinna dies, does her body disappear? 173.32.11.254 19:55, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

No, her body is tagged as a quest-item and therefore it will never disappear. Look here. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 20:02, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Dialogue[edit]

Are the 7th and 8th lines of dialogue correct because it seems kind of strange: "If you think me defenseless, you may be surprised. I'm more dangerous than I look. If you think me defenseless, you may be surprised." and: "However, if you try to strong-arm her by saying You'd better sell it to me. she is not taken make by it and replies" 79.97.40.245 18:31, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Is this the one to which you were you refering too? - ''You'd better sell it to me. she is not taken make by it and replies "So, Umbacano has resorted to hired thugs now? If you think me defenseless, you may be surprised. I'm more dangerous than I look. If you think me defenseless, you may be surprised. Perhaps you could overpower me and take the Crown. Perhaps. But I urge you to reconsider. In the wrong hands, the Crown of the Ayleids could be very dangerous. And Umbacano is definitely the wrong hands." '' This is the 5th section of dialogue I could see, and most closely matches what you said. I think its right, it seems to make sense when put in the overall context off the conversation and all it's options and outcomes. And the dialogue was checked both in and out of game during the recent (and on-going) re-design project, so it should be right-- Thanks --KizC ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 18:43, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
By the 7th and 8th line I meant the lines of the paragraph. If it was checked in the desighn project then it is probably right, sorry. But it still sounds kind of strange: "she is not taken make by it."79.97.40.245 18:55, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
Ahhh, the dialogue is fine, you were referring to a none dialogue bit, which is indeed grammatically incorrect. This has now been fixed. I think they added a ward unintentionally. Good spot :) -- Thanks --KizC ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 18:57, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Enchanted Jewelry[edit]

When I talked to her (on the 360), she had that funny Chameleon/Invisibility transparency effect on. If she can be wearing a ring of Chameleon (it didn't show up in the pickpocketing menu), shouldn't the page on her mention it? 98.70.64.215 04:19, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Well the article already mentions she's wearing a piece of enchanted jewelry so in your game she must be wearing one of the generic chameleon rings/amulets. In my save she is wearing a grand ring of the chameleon. And you cannot pickpocket equipped items, that is why the ring/amulet doesn't show up in the pickpocket menu. If you want it for some reason you must kill her. — Unsigned comment by 78.90.29.168 (talk) at 18:37 on 24 November 2011 (GMT)

Dying by falling from a bridge before the quest.[edit]

This recalls Shum gro-Yarug's death falling from a bridge in Skingrad bugging the Buying a house in Skingrad quest.

On Fredas at 7:42 AM Heartfire 21, 3E433 my level 6 thief found her dead on the rocks along the shore, under the main bridge to the Imperial City at the west end near Wawnet Inn. He looted her body and got her key. The page says: "On the 21st of each month at 7 pm, Herminia will make her way to Cheydinhal . . ."

The page text sounds like a 7 pm time of departure. Should it be changed to perhaps: ". . . at 7 pm, Herminia will arrive in Cheydinhal. She will spend three days . . ." Has anyone else encountered this "bug/oddity"? I don't know for certain how her premature death will affect the Secrets of the Ayleids quest. From what the quest says it sounds like all that matters is having the key. I'll report back here when my thief finishes that quest.

The schedule on the page is taken from the Construction Set. NPC travel times in particular behave very differently depending on whether you follow an NPC or they travel on their own. Travelling NPCs often die on their trip, particularly if you are nearby. If you're interested in testing out the schedule in-game, see this page on how to help out. —Legoless (talk) 12:28, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
