Stacking Bug[edit]

Having done this quest countless times before, I decided to set about acquiring the stones when my illusion reached 69. I had precisely 10 in my inventory as I was asked to obtain the ten stones, and could then instantly hand them over. Checking my inventory later revealed that I still had 9 stones, and only one had been taken. They stacked fine, so this seems to be different to the previously mentioned bugs. It was however, a while ago, and around the time I switched from PS3 to PS3 GOTY, so I'm not fully sure which it was. 92.17.29.72 17:31, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Stacking bugs can occur in a variety of situations, even if they appear normal on-screen. Having only one of a stack removed instead of the entire stack isn't uncommon. As long as the quest was completed fine (you don't say either way), don't complain. :) Robin Hoodtalk 01:41, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Bugs[edit]

  • The game sometimes removes a wrong number of Welkynd Stones from the player's inventory if they don't stack properly. To fix, drop them on the floor by removing them from inventory. Any stones that do not stack properly will drop separately from the rest of the pile. Pick them all up again and all of them will be merged into a single pile. The game may also become confused if you have both stolen and legally acquired welkynd stones in your inventory (there is at least one welkynd stone that is set as owned and can be stolen by the PC).
This is a game wide glitch that I'm currently documenting on Oblivion:Glitches/Proposed. Datacaust 21:16, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
