Unnecessary page?[edit]

I get the idea of the page and I can see that it might have some use, but it essentially duplicates information available at Leveled Items, albeit in more compact format. What do others think? –RpehTCE 09:23, 14 May 2008 (EDT)

The plan (theoretically) is for the Leveled Items page to become a bit more compact (see the first few entries on the page), although even at that point seeing a list of the quests that produce the leveled items won't be straightforward. One compromise might be to create a custom table of contents for the Leveled Items page, using a sortable table with a column providing the quest name. I think it would be better to try to incorporate all of the information into a single page instead of having two redundant articles. --NepheleTalk 12:43, 14 May 2008 (EDT)

I know this site is not necessarily a FAQ, but I've found this table to be super-useful. Probably a lot moreso than the table currently at the top , it might be worth just replacing that with this. There's one more thing that would make this table even more useful, so I'm gonna add that now... JeffSpender 15:56, 26 July 2008 (EDT)

I think it should be deleted, it is sort of handy, but I feel the navigational table at the top of Leveled Items is easier to navigate, and really makes this page unnecessary.-Puddle TalkContribs. 16:19, 26 July 2008 (EDT)

Edit conflict[edit]

A new version was recently proposed

The original version can be found [here]

compared to the newer version [here]

the newer version is heavily redundant and therefore the older version is arguably better, but if anyone thinks otherwise say so here. --AKB Talk Contribs Email 18:57, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

As the one who reverted it I'll put my two drake in. I do not think that the new addition to the page is more helpful. All of that information can be gotten from the links to the quest pages. And the new version looks cluttery. Also, the faction column makes little sense in some situations. --DKong27 Talk Cont 20:02, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
What I intended to do is to make the page more comprehensive. If you sort the quests by names, you cannot immediately know what kind of quests they are. However if it is possible to sort the table by Faction, it gives a better impression of what kind of quest line we would prefer to go on first. The reason of adding "reward giver" is about giving the user a quicker reference on how these items are obtained. And I do believe that the very existence of this whole page is to give a quick reference to the users so they don't have to find all the quest pages one by one. JoshuaYu 05:32, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
The "Quest Giver" and "Reward Giver" fields are definitely unnecessary. I can see the "Faction" field being vaguely useful because you can see quickly which quests are affected by your current affiliations. It needs cleaning up, though, because "Whitmond Farm" and "Leyawiin" aren't factions and calling them such is confusing. rpeh •TCE 08:53, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Yes they may need cleaning up a bit. Maybe you are really familiar with the quests while I am not. I find "Reward Giver" useful as we can decide when to stop progressing on the quest and save it until certain level we want to be at. By looking up each quest page is just tiring and endless. () Here's an idea. Compressing the three new columns into a single Quest Overview column. Include faction related, other useful information. --DKong27 Talk Cont 05:36, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

I agree. Please proceed as you wish. JoshuaYu 05:58, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

A Mage's Staff[edit]

I believe "A Mage's Staff" should be added to the list. It obviously has a leveled reward.

Edit: Nevermind, I did it myself. — Unsigned comment by 90.154.177.15 (talk) on 15 June 2011
