Nope--as the sentence before those quotes explains, the fact that Mandil is referred to as "he" is an error on the part of other NPCs (or possibly another in a long line of typos). I just checked the construction set and the quotes on the page are what is shown in-game. –Eshe^talk 18:53, 21 April 2008 (EDT)

Race

She's a Bosmer. There are far more reliable ways to determine an NPC's race than guessing based on height. --Nephele^Talk 23:56, 7 August 2008 (EDT)

Very weird!

It is the weirdest thing! My game has, on every save I have created, taken out Mandil and the other Advanced Security trainer, so I can't train from them, OR get Master Training! Anyone, please help! What has happened? Apocalypso 15:48, 1 December 2008 (EST)

Mandil, like some other named NPCs, walks in the wilderness where she can encounter dangerous bandits and creatures. For example, just between Grayrock Cave and Skingrad, she is likely to encounter a bandit by the Ayleid Well, goblins at Derelict Mine, then another bandit not far around the bend. She walks a dangerous road!

If you have the Thieves Den official plug-in and you've hired the security expert, you can get your advanced security training from him. His name is Tahm Blackwell and he can often be found next to a handy training chest in the area to your right when you first enter the main cavern at Dunbarrow Cove. Failing that, you can drain your own security skill then speak with a lesser trainer, who will train you based on your effective skill rather than your base skill.
