Has anyone been able to buy a spell from Trevaia? I've talked to her all times of day and night, different weekdays (in case she doesn't spell sells on Sunday), and never had the spell-selling icon appear in my menu. If it is possible to buy from her, I think it would be worth documenting on her page what times/conditions need to be met. If not, this might be another one for the glitches page. --Nephele 17:44, 2 July 2006 (EDT)

Well, according to the Construction Set, her hours should be from 8-12 in the morning and again from 6-10 at night, while she's in the main area of the temple. (Not in the offices downstairs.) I haven't verified this, but there's nothing I can see in the CS that would prevent her from selling to you for any reason.--TheRealLurlock 18:37, 2 July 2006 (EDT)
Nope, no luck. I've tried a few more times, specifically during the times you list, and can't get that spell-selling icon to appear. She will talk to me (about the usual Anvil topics). I've tried getting her disposition to 100; talking to her at different points along her trajectory from the offices to the altar; visiting a shrine to Dibella just in case she wants you to be pious. I've been able to buy spells from all the other chapel healers, just not Trevaia. There seems to be something odd going on. FYI, I'm still playing the game unpatched, but there's nothing in the patch summary that seems related.--Nephele 01:34, 3 July 2006 (EDT)

I have the same problem as you've had. It doesn't matter what time I talk to her or what the level of her disposition is. I am running the most recet patch plus a bunch of mods. I haven't had any problem buying spells from other people in various chapels, but I guess I wouldn't know unless I looked at this website and found out otherwise. I'd be interested to to know what the deal is. --schatten529 20:25, 10 July 2006 (PST)

Thanks for the confirmation. I've decided to promote this to a glitch, and posted it on the Glitches page.--Nephele 12:04, 11 July 2006 (EDT)

I've moved the discussion of Kud-Ei to her talk page.--Nephele 12:05, 13 July 2006 (EDT)

I had the same problem, but found the answer at the official elderscroll forums. You have to talk to Trevaia while she's on the steps going down to the Undercroft area. This did it for me.— Unsigned comment by Muchtornado (talkcontribs)

Hmmm, I'm still not having any luck. I accosted her once on the way up the stairs, then got her four times as she was going down later. On the way down I talked to her top, middle, bottom, and end of the stairs, at about 8:30 pm (i.e., during one the windows where she is supposed to sell), and each time no training icon (just the disposition and quit icons). You're talking about the steps from the main level of the chapel that leads to all the locked doors in the undercroft (not anything that's past the locked doors)? What time of day and what day of the week? Seems like there might be something more than just the location.... --Nephele 13:39, 23 July 2006 (EDT)
Of course, the second after I hit post on my last message, I get it to work! The difference this time was that she had already paused on the stairs to talk with one of her coworkers. So I'm wondering if that's the missing ingredient? --Nephele 13:41, 23 July 2006 (EDT)
Can you tell me what time/day this was Nephele? I can't get her to stop on the stairs.— Unsigned comment by Ruyen (talkcontribs)
It was just before noon as I recall. But there is definitely an additional random element... it's not just a matter of stopping her on the stairs. If she stops to talk to someone else, then you can typically get her to sell you spells; but there isn't always someone else there to divert her like that. It took me multiple tries to get it to work. --Nephele 03:22, 31 October 2006 (EST)
I got it. :D Right after noon she starts heading downstairs from the altar. Likewise Ohtesse (in Chey) was a biatch to get to sell, but follow her into town and right after noon she starts to head back to the Temple and her training and warez open up. :D --Ruyen 13:52, 31 October 2006 (EST)

Ok, so we have it confirmed that she probably only barters when on the stairs, and probably she has to be standing still when activated. Probably good information to put in the article? Maybe also remove or change in the glitches page?— Unsigned comment by Muchtornado (talkcontribs)

Yep, sounds like its ready for prime time. I got her to sell to me one more time: she wasn't talking to anyone, but she was already standing still on the stairs before I approached her (and although she'll stop when you activate her, that doesn't seem to count; she seems to need to be still before you walk up to her). So go for it! --Nephele 15:30, 23 July 2006 (EDT)
Looks as though you have to get her when she's headed down to the Undercroft. You can't get her IN the Undercroft, however, because if you meet her in there, you're tresspassing, and she'll call the guards instead. Though potentially you might be able to cast Calm on her down there, but you're still tresspassing, so I doubt that would work. --TheRealLurlock 15:53, 23 July 2006 (EDT)
Now that I have the construction set, I figured I'd see if I could make sense out of Trevaia's schedule. From what I could figure out, there are two activities during which she will offer services: "AnvilChapelUndercroftExplore" and "AnvilChapelSanctuaryExplore". She does each once per day for two hours. There aren't any fixed times provided for either activity, but given everything else on her schedule it seems most likely that she'll do them 12pm-4pm (the only other possible times are 6am-8am or 10pm-midnight). There's also a probability with each of these activities (50% on the Undercroft, 33% on the Sanctuary)... I have no idea what those probabilities mean. Given that both the Undercroft and Sanctuary are areas where a character would be trespassing, I'm guessing that what's happening is that we're only able to catch her when she is on her way to do her "exploring". --Nephele 13:53, 5 September 2006 (EDT)
Thanks as this helped, but the being stopped part suggested by others does not matter, it is whether these activities are active or not. I was finally able to use the time window suggested here to get her services without her already being stopped on the stairs. Hopefully this helps others by not waiting until she gets stopped on the stairs as I did for a while.--DoubleGrande 21:22, 3 March 2009 (EST)

selling potions?[edit]

Just a minor problem, but does Trevaia actually sell potions or not? The page for Selene Duronia mentions neither npc sells potions due to them not having a hidden merchant container, however this article says Trevaia does, but not Selene. I have KOTN version so I've not been able to check for myself. Masterlocksmith 21:04, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

I've checked and Trevaia does indeed not have a merchant container, which means that the Selene Duronia article was correct. This was checked in-game without KotN loaded as well. Thanks for pointing out this inconsistency! --Timenn-<talk> 14:05, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
No problem, thanks for the speedy reply and in-game check Masterlocksmith 16:28, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Some interesting quirk I discovered about boosting her disposition[edit]

Disclaimer: I have a DLC delayer along with other mods. However, I also tested this on a new character, with no mods other than OBSE, with Knights DLC disabled.

I talked to Trevaia as she was walking up the steps from the chapel hall. At this point, her disposition towards me was in the neutral range, around 51-57. She makes her way to the altar to pray, and I use the altar since I had some damaged attributes. When I spoke to her again, she says "A pleasure to speak with you", and her disposition to my character is 100. I had not bribed her, nor engaged in the speech wheel mini-game.

Wondering what happened, I reloaded a save and went through the same steps, minus using the altar. When she prayed at the altar, her disposition to me maxed out.

Even more perplexed, I made a test character, used the console to get to Anvil, and headed to the chapel.

I went through the same steps as above, and the same thing happened: Her disposition to the test character went from 51 to 100 when she prayed at the altar, even if I didn't use the altar.

TLDR: If you're in the chapel at 9 am worship when Trevaia prays, even if you aren't directly observing her do this, and even if you don't use any of the altars yourself, you'll get a huge disposition boost. You only need to be in the same cell when she does this.

Side note: I tried seeing if this same boost would occur at other chapels, but I haven't been able to replicate it, or else I would've discussed it on this page https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion_talk:Disposition

I'm thinking this behavior and disposition boost towards the player is unique to Trevaia. Too bad she dies as soon as Knights DLC is loaded in. Most players won't notice this unless they disable Knights DLC or use a delayer and visit Anvil's Chapel of Dibella for morning worship.
