Move Summon Demon Lord spell note?[edit]

Currently the note about Volanaro dying during A Plot Revealed and the player losing the ability to obtain the Summon Dremora Lord is located below the Spells table, mixed with the general notes about Spell Merchants. Should this note be moved to the top, right after Volanaro's introduction text?

The reason I propose this is because this is a pretty significant note, as the spell is a powerful one, and the event is not easily recognisable (you have to generally know all the Spell Merchants before you discover Volanaro is the only NPC selling this spell) Also, readers familiar with the Spell Merchant Table will usually skip the text below that, as it is meant only to inform people not familiar with it, thus may miss the note. (Not that I'm sure that happens, but it is an assumption)
As for consistency with other articles, the articles about the Advanced Restoration Trainers who die during a certain Knights of the Nine quest also have the information on losing the Master Trainer reference located in the main NPC description. It is not the same service, but still. --Timenn 14:51, 7 July 2007 (EDT)

M'aiq thought this a good suggestion, full of the common sense only a few non-furred creatures possess (: M'aiq has moved it immediately. M'aiqM'aiq thinks talk serves no purpose. 15:18, 7 July 2007 (EDT)

Essential or not[edit]

This page states that Volanaro is always essential. Well, in my game, he is killable, so I don't know if that information is correct. I even killed him to be sure. — Unsigned comment by Wolok gro-Barok (talkcontribs) on 15 April 2009

Yes, he becomes killable as soon as the Bruma Recommendation quest is complete. I'll update the article. --NepheleTalk 11:48, 15 April 2009 (EDT)

200 years old?[edit]

i was wondering since the morrowind crisis was 200 years before the oblivion crisis wouldnt that make him really old? I dont know i might be mistaken. Skeepa 02:01, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

The morrowind crisis wasn't 200 years before the oblivion one, it was more like 6 years— Unsigned comment by Honda1996 (talkcontribs) on 15 April 2009
I thought there was only 1 year in between. Anyway, there's not much time in between in any case, and even if it was 200 years, on Volanaro's part, it wouldn't be that strange. Give him 800 years or so, and he'd have to be old ~ Dwarfmp 02:27, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Oh i see i gues i got mixed up with the oblivion crisis with skyrim thanks! Skeepa 22:39, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

He can cast a perfect Chameleon spell that lasts for 24 hours, just for fun. The fact it's an one-off prank suggests he created the spell on a whim. This guy must be one of the greatest mages in Tamriel. But instead of singlehandedly changing the course of wars creating unstoppable assassins, he's providing recharging services in a crummy guild in the mountains, and then he's unceremoniously killed offscreen. Anyway, I know he actually has less than 200 magicka and it's a scripted effect, but I think this discrepancy deserves at least a little note on the page. I can't think of another character displaying such a big disparity of power, except the player character.-- 08:39, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Whatever his magical capabilities might be, he was apparently not strong and/or evasive enough during A Plot Revealed. I disagree with this being noteworthy. Wolok gro-Barok (talk) 01:20, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
