After speaking to Sar-Keer, you'll find Betina at the bar in the inn:

"Greetings! Have you heard of the once-great Volek family? I'm the last of my line."
Should I have?
"No, I suppose not. My family's been involved in things I'm not proud of.
That's part of the reason I returned to Mournhold."
Why have you returned to Mournhold?
"I'm here to reclaim my family home. It's been sealed since my father died, when we fled the city for Vvardenfell.
I was so little then, but I promised I would return."
How did you come to be the last of the Voleks?
"My family kept Argonian slaves. They worked our saltrice plantation and were the source of our wealth. And the cause of our doom.
When the Pact freed our slaves, they rose up and murdered my father. My mother and I fled."
What can I do?
"A shadow hangs over my family. My mother returned last year to claim our property. I never saw her again. She was murdered, I'm sure of it.
Now I think someone is following me. I can handle myself, but I'm still worried."
Let me accompany you to your family home. <Don't tell Betina about the ambush.>
"Frankly, I'd welcome your company.
The family townhouse is nearby. I'll meet you there."
I met a pair of Argonians. <Tell Betina about the ambush.>
"Ah, Sar-Keer and Tastes-the-Breeze. They want to kill me, as they killed my mother and father.
The house is nearby—meet me there. It's time for me to face my past.
"

Go to her house and she'll be waiting outside with her bodyguard, Thonja the Quiet.

"Thanks for meeting me here. I'm glad I don't have to face this alone."

Don't tell her about the ambush at the inn[edit]

If you didn't tell her about the plot at the inn:

Of course.
"Well, let's see what's left of the old place."
After you, Lady Volek. <Go along with the ambush.>
"I see. You're in on it. I suppose there's no way around it, then."
Wait, the Argonians plan to ambush you. <Warn Betina about the ambush.>
"Ambush me?"

If you choose to allow the ambush, she'll enter the house and become hostile. You'll have no option but to defeat her and her bodyguard.

If you choose to tell her about the ambush, you can say:

A pair of Argonians. They'll strike as soon as you step inside.
"Ah, Sar-Keer and Tastes-the-Breeze.
They want to kill me, as they killed my mother and father."
You won't face them alone.
"I appreciate the offer.
It's time to deal with the past. It's a shame the lizards suffered under my parents, but they've no right to take my life."
You should get out of here.
"Thanks for the warning, but I'm sick of running. It's time to face the past.
It's a shame the lizards suffered under my parents, but they've had their revenge. They've no right to take my life.
"

Tell her about the ambush at the inn[edit]

Alternatively you can tell her about the plot at the very beginning:

No problem.
"It's time to face the past.
It's a shame the lizards suffered under my parents, but they've had their revenge. They've no right to take my life."

As long as you at some point tell her about the scheme, you'll enter the house and Sar-Keer and Tastes-the-Breeze will become violent. After killing the pair, Betina will say:

Betina Volek: "Now that that's done, I'll clean up in here and then meet you outside."
"I suppose I must now see to the farm.
It won't ever be the same, you know."
What are your plans?
"Now I guess I'll see about restoring my family's fortune. Eventually this unnatural Pact will fall apart and we can return to farming the old-fashioned way. Please, take this in gratitude for your help."
"I'll straighten out the family's affairs here in town, and then we'll see what can be done about the farm."
