Border Crossings, or Transition Points, are locations where it is possible to cross between Zones on foot.

This gate connects Baandari Trading Post in Malabal Tor with the Northern Woods region of northwestern Reaper's March. When you pass through into Reaper's March, the Vinedusk Wayshrine will be marked on your map if you have not yet discovered it. Crossing the other way if you have not yet visited Malabal Tor will unlock Marbruk Wayshrine.

Grahtwood Northern Gate[edit]

The blocked gate in Grahtwood

This gate, in the northern part of Green Hall in Grahtwood, is barricaded shut, and a burned Khajiiti villa can be seen past the rocks behind it. Its intended destination is unknown, but maps of the Elsweyr zone show it connecting to northern Grahtwood. During early alpha development, a map showed that the Tenmar Forest, rather than Reaper's March, was planned to have been a playable zone, and this gate would have connected to it. The tunnel to Reaper's March is located right next to the gate, and both of them are behind a larger wooden gate with Khajiiti banners, statues, and posts, as well as a dead Bosmer woman on top. Various tents surround the area, along with a capsized trading cart nearby.

Grahtwood Tunnel[edit]

This tunnel connects the northern part of Green Hall in Grahtwood with the southeastern part of Jodewood in Reaper's March. In Grahtwood, the tunnel is located just to the right of a locked gate north of the town of Cormount, while the Reaper's March end is just southwest of the village of Willowgrove. When you pass through into Reaper's March, Vinedusk Wayshrine will be added to your map if you have not yet discovered it. Crossing the other way will unlock the Haven Wayshrine if you have not yet visited Grahtwood.

Crossing the other way will unlock the Haven Wayshrine if you have not yet visited Grahtwood.

Reaper's March Eastern Gate[edit]

The locked gate in eastern Dawnmead

Located north of Dune and just southeast of Fort Sphinxmoth, in the east of the Dawnmead region of Reaper's March, this gate is inoperable. While the intended destination of this gate is unknown, its positioning would suggest it is the reverse side of the Western Elsweyr Gate of Cyrodiil.

Reaper's March Northern Gate[edit]

The locked gate in Arenthia Vale

This gate, on the north side of Arenthia Vale in northern Reaper's March, is locked and cannot be opened. It is currently not known what is intended to be on the other side of this gate, though it appears to lead into a part of the West Weald of southern Colovia, which is not accessible.

The locked gate at Jackdaw's Cove

This gate, found at Jackdaw Cove in the northeast of the Mournoth region of Bangkorai, is locked shut and cannot be used. It is currently not known what is intended to be on the other side of this gate, though it appears to lead into a part of southwestern Skyrim that is not yet accessible. Based on its geographical position and the presence of a Reachman tribe in Mournoth, its most likely destination is a location in The Reach. Alternatively, it might have been intended as an overland access to the Earth Forge, which is nearby.

Eastmarch Western Gate[edit]

The blocked gate in western Eastmarch

This Dwemer gate near The Frigid Grotto in Eastmarch is locked and cannot be entered. Its destination is unknown, though it could lead to a currently inaccessible part of central Skyrim. Alternatively, given its Dwemer design and the fact that it appears to lead to an interior, it might actually be an entrance to Blackreach underground. There are no ruins of Dwemer origin anywhere near this location in Skyrim, so all one can do at this time is speculate.

Shadowfen Southern Gate[edit]

The blocked gate in southeastern Shadowfen

This gate, in the Venomous Fens region of southwestern Shadowfen, is barricaded shut and surrounded by small tents. According to developer maps, it was planned to be the entrance into Murkmire when the region was still based around Gideon. Since Murkmire is now located around Lilmoth, is not known what is presently intended to be on the other side of this gate.

If you pass through the other way and have not yet visited Eastmarch, Windhelm Wayshrine will be marked.

This pass through the Velothi Mountains connects Fort Virak in the Zabamat region of northwestern Stonefalls with the Smokefrost Peaks in the southeast of The Rift. To reach the pass without going through Fort Virak, you can skirt the fort to the north and follow the ravine below the bridge. Once you pass under, you should see hills to your right which can be climbed to reach the other side. When you cross through into The Rift, Fallowstone Hall Wayshrine will be marked on your map if you have not yet discovered it. If you pass through the other way, Davon's Watch Wayshrine will be marked if you have not yet visited Stonefalls.

Cyrodiil Bridges[edit]

In southeast Cyrodiil, there are a number bridges crossing over rivers. Passing over the Corbolo River, a large drawbridge and a barricaded bridge named Crestbridge can be found leading into the Nibenay Basin. Over the Larsius River, there is a bridge connected to Bravil that leads to a large inaccessible gate, which may be connected to Blackwood.

Cyrodiil Gate Garrison[edit]

The Gate Garrison

The Cyrodiil Gate Garrison in southeastern Craglorn is ostensibly a Daggerfall Covenant entry point into Cyrodiil. However, the gate cannot be opened by players of any alliance, since Cyrodiil must be entered using the Alliance War interface. Geographically, it appears to link indirectly to the Northern High Rock Gate.
