Retrieve the ring
In the wake of a Dro-m'Athra attack, a lunar priest has asked me to save a priceless relic from the vault behind Moonmont.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Talk to Jurak-dar.
  2. Retrieve the ring of Rid-Thar-ri'Datta.
  3. Return to Jurak-dar.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

  • Outside the Moonmont temple, you run into a Khajiit wearing priestly robes, named Jurak-dar. You think you recognize him from somewhere but can't remember quite where, and he wants you to retrieve the Ring of Rid-Thar-ri'Datta - a sacred temple relic - before the dar-m'Athra cultists can seize it.
  • You will have to face more cultists actually getting *to* the vault than inside it - indeed, inside, there is only one, albeit mini-boss level (a difficulty-1 level miniboss version of a generic cultist, not a named enemy).
  • However, when you get outside, things will not be as they seem. Jurak-dar is being confronted by another Khajiit named Fihada - and he will be talking about his "partner" in an "enterprise" and a large amount of coin being involved. Talking to him will result in him admitting he is no priest, but was your guide (and an out-and-out scammer) around the ruins of Belarata in Malabal Tor, and he wants the ring to sell for a load of cash. Fihada, however, really *is* a piously religious Khajiit, and she wants the Ring returned to her Order of the Moons - although she shares Jurak's originally stated motive of wanting it kept safe from the cultists.
  • So you have the choice of returning it to either of them. Returning it to Fihada will result in her being thankful, giving you the above named reward, and Jurak slinking away in disgrace thinking the best he can do is pawn his priestly robe for the price of tonight's dinner. Giving it to Jurak results in his commending you for your wisdom and Fihada being disappointed. Both choices grant award described above

Quest Stages[edit]

Desecrated Ground
Finishes Quest Journal Entry
I need to fight my way past the dark spirits to retrieve Rid-Thar's ring.
Objective: Retrieve the Ring of Rid-Thar-ri'Datta
I acquired the ring. I should return to Jurak.
Objective: Return to Jurak-dar
As I walked up on Jurak, I saw him arguing with a priestess of the lunar faith. It seems Jurak isn't a priest at all, but instead is a thief. I should decide how I want to proceed—give the ring to Jurak or to the priestess.
Complete one: Give the Ring to Fihada or Give the Ring to Jurak-dar
Finishes quest☑ I decided to give the ring to the priestess for safekeeping. I should talk to Fihada one more time.
Objective: Talk to Fihada
Finishes quest☑ I decided to give the ring to Jurak for a cut of his profits. I should talk to Jurak-dar one more time.
Objective: Talk to Jurak-dar

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
