Drodda's Apprentice is a powerful ice mage found on a balcony near the Guardian of the Flame, accompanied by frozen soldiers and various draugr. Prior to combat, he may be seen casting a small fireball in his hand. He is Drodda of Icereach's apprentice. He is an optional miniboss that is not required to progress through the dungeon.

Skills and Abilities

As a boss type enemy, Drodda's Apprentice is immune to all forms of crowd control effects.

Ice Arrow

A basic ranged attack that deals minor frost damage.

Winter's Reach

The boss releases an icy gale in the direction he is facing that deals moderate frost damage and immobilizes all targets hit by it. This attack can be interrupted or simply avoided.

Void Burst

The boss releases a burst of purple magic from above that lands on top of a target player dealing moderate magical damage as indicated by a red circle. This attack can be interrupted but has a very short cast time.

Void

The Void Burst releases three smaller bursts of magic that travel outwards from the center along the ground, dealing moderate magical damage as indicated by red circles.

Frost Nova

The boss charges up and unleashes a field of ice spikes from around itself as indicated by a large red circle. This deals high frost damage and should be avoided.

Sapping Freeze

The boss channels a beam that stuns a target dealing moderate frost damage over time and healing the boss for significant amounts over time. The target needs to break free immediately to keep him from healing. This ability deals no damage if the Apprentice is at full health. Drodda of Icereach has an identical ability.

Annulment

The boss summons a damage shield that absorbs a small amount of damage.
