The Guardian Opponents are three lurchers that Benduin instructs you to defeat with your Guardian. There are three varieties: water guardians, fire guardians and wood guardians. During the quest, you'll have to turn a normal Guardian into one of these three varieties, then make it fight against two Guardian Opponent. Water guardians are effective against fire guardians, fire is effective against wood, and wood is effective against water. For the easiest success, you should pit your guardian against whatever it's weak against and the Guardian Opponent that possesses the same qualities as yours.
